If France would have been easier to trample over, if England and it's colonies wouldn't have put up that much of a fight, if the USA wouldn't have joined the fight (Better late than never, although it was VERY late), if Russia would have lost the war against Germany or if Belgium would have secretly joined the Nazis and thus allowed a surprise attack, then WW2 might have been lost (or won, depending what side you are talking about). Every nation participating helped, and the outcome was somewhat lopsided. So I think everyone won (but the Nazis and their allies, of course
).

I once nuked one of my cities, and cried because of the 2 million Mongolians who died, so I won't participate

You're really starting to scare me. It is a good thing that there are generally rigorous protocols set around the ability to launch nuclear weapons.

..and the international crisis that would cause...
I always try to think that, out of the hundreds of people involved in designing and building nuclear weapons and their launch platforms, there will be someone with a conscience who'd sabotage a vital part of the weapon. so when the megalomanics press the button, nothing will happen!

Well I am sure somebody tried to the pull the plug during WW2's nuking but then again, there may not have been anybody pulling the plug since the americans felt their actions were justified since they had been attacked by somebody who they hadn't even provoked. And I hope you don't own any nukes SK cause if you do we might have a nice, happy and lush fallout dreamland future very soon!
