NutraNESIV.6: The Dread Kings of Ekra

Deadline for applications will be Thursday evening, more specifically 16/2/12 @ 7:00 EDT (GMT-5). Afterwards I will throw up stats and then do update one.

People who want to play after the application deadline can still join, they just will have to choose one of the pre-existing clans.

General Olaf
Clan Brishnak/Gazniir dynasty
Kugash Brishnak (56)
City: Birz (on the edge of the lake - at the river mouth - directly south of the Imperial Ekra)
Ruthless/Silvertongued

That city is taken by Lopaz, check the 'taken areas' map.
New info:

General Olaf
Clan Brishnak/Grokar dynasty
Kugash Brishnak (56)

Ruthless/Silvertongued

Masada
Vir-Guuagziir
Padush Vir-101

Since that trait does not exist I will just substitute it with "Kind".

I just checked all the maps on the frontpage and they are working fine on my end. Are you sure it's not your browser?

edit: Also, if you are taking tathsume I would ask that you take a city on the other side of the Furthest Range, that way there can be a nice balance between the players in that region.

TBH, I would ask that you take somewhere else, like in the Bariel or Ithilidren Dynastic areas because those places have 0 players currently.

Yeah, I just changed taken. I'll re-upload them all, though, and redo the links.

edit: Now try, I have redone all the links.

hbar
Palinar-Ithilidren Dynasty
Lady Oshu Palinar (40, Elf)
Freya, coastal city on the river SE of the Cilgalad Range
Clan Traits
Raiders
Seafarers

Updated my stat post, thanks for fixing the links.

So unless any players join tomorrow this how the map will look at the start in terms of clan placement.

Look four posts down

It's a recipe for instant conflict. I tried to give every player an NPC or two that they can team up against before slogging it out with one-another.

theDright
Minamonnosion-Bariel
Larenésas Minamonnosion (115, Elf)
Aedanithren, large castle on the eastern peninsula off of the northwest bay.
Utter Savages, Seafarers

That's a large city, Dright (circles = cities, squares = castles). I'll change the Clan Haeeme to your Minamonnosion, but trade the inland-castle for the coastal city south of your chosen spot.

Okay, sounds good. I mixed and matched with that name generator with pretty good results. Is the scale on this map the same as the one for Kore, about 1 pixel=3 miles?

Nope, 4 (thanks dright) pixels = 1 mile. For reference, Ekra is almost twice as large as Japan (the entire map, including water & further-far, has a sq mi of roughly 270,937). To compensate, however, the Elves and Orcs of Ekra are rather large and vigorous. 6" (183cm) is short to them and the average height is between 6"7-7"2 (200-218cm) for males and a bit shorter for females. For further reference (and an insight into why they look down on Goblins so much) the Ekran Goblin rarely grows taller than 4" (122cm).

Umm, nutra, if there are 16 pixels to the mile, then 1445 pixels * 3000 pixels *(1 mile/16 pixels)*(1 mile/16 pixels) would give us an area of 16934 sq.mi., about the size of half of Scotland. But if we change it to 4 pixels per mile, you are back at the size of twice of Japan.

I only bothered to calculate that because it seemed that my coastline was only 20 miles long!

Which somehow seemed odd for Japan...

Oh, and would it make more sense to give that inland castle to Clan Ealovir, who seem woefully undercitied/castled?
