Oceania

For those who have read the book 1984, you know of the giant empire know as Oceania, where the man known as Big Brother rules. It is my intention to found Oceania, using RFC, as England. I must do this by the year 1984 to complete the challenge.

Red is the land I must control

I have to first update ready, but I can not post it right now, so lets begin.

1000th POST!

Good luck!

Happy "1000th" post

Does it count if one of your Vassals owns the land or do you require direct ownership?

Does your Culture need to completely cover every square (such as all of the far reaches of North America and South America as well as the Deserts of Australia) or do you just simply need to be the only Civ in these locations? Maybe the only one with Cities there (i.e. no Barb Cities)?

Depending upon how much Cultural Control you will need, your City-settling pattern could be significantly altered.

I probably will count vassals as me owning the land.

I need most of the continet, with me and my vassals be the only one there.

Or pain.

Below is the save file for the WB I just did to create most of the empire, with partial infrastructure (and lots and lots of towns).

Nearly -1000 g/pt in maintenance.

So, is he expected to play ahead from your game? Won't his units quickly go on Strike if he's losing that much Gold per Turn?

I guess that Courthouses and Wealth build items would become the priorities if that's the case.

No, he won't be, I was just expirementing to see what would happen.

Sounds good. However, it would make more sense if you were America because in the book America conquers Britain and forms Oceania. However, that would probably be 9001 times harder considering that America starts later.

Also, can you own territories that weren’t part of Oceania? (Like Europe and such).

Good luck anyway :goodjob:

Edit: Your right, but I am playing on out of the box RFC, and it has no America start, unless I switch to it (which I might).

2. Yes.

Okay. It would probably be smarter to use Britain anyway.

Also, Download RFC Epic/Marathon! You don’t have to play on Epic or Marathon, but download it anyway because it is patched up to date.

EDIT: , you’ve played already. Use it in your next story. :D

This is a good, original idea! :goodjob: I'm definitely going to be reading this :D

This, you may also pe able to do better on a slower speed but that is up to you (like everything else  )
Wait... can you download mods yet?

I still have the same situation about that.
