Hum, yep, my computer is dead ( ) and I played my turn on one with a french version of civ. That's the french version of "AD". I mean by autosave the one which has been created by the game in \pbem\Octafish\ when I passed the turn.
EDIT : But you're right, that may be what confused pbemtracker ...
U may already know this. If not it will save U or any other GA alot of grief.
Attn Game Admin'rs: To AI a player, load THEIR last turn & use your ADMINISTRATIVE p/w in place of theirs. Walla!
The file/their turn will open. Then simply <Esc>, <Retire>, confirm, & it will pop up end-of-turn window telling U the file has been saved & who to send it to.
I've been wasting time trying to do it from within MY last turn. Never knew we GA's had so much power(!).
It's grand to get this game rolling again!
Seems wars have/are breaking out all over.
My Mali started a war with Sit Bull/Greece... a bit too early it seems. The 2 next gen leaders of my erstwhile allies; Persia & Vikings, are not fully prepared nor versed in prior leaders' plans.
Unfortunately Peter of England launched against Persia just has Chas was taking over. Alrh of Vikings U on the other hand have an opportunity pop up the the Greek city that just popped up on OUR island. + i just killed off the longbow headed there which means only an elephant in new city vs your muskets. Oh, & the Greek worker out in the open building a road = nice starting bonus for thee.
Beyond these brief notes, we, & anyone else that wants to help carve up or at least dent the rather powerful Greeks, should use mail (my PM is nearly full). krtfun gmail

Come on great(?) leaders, now is the time for bold moves(!). Sit Bull's Greeks are strong... but dumb as AI's.
As U will all see, our valiant Mali troops captured their island city. Just barely tho; Sit Bull was smart enuf to buy his lone archer up to a longbow. Still had to go for it before he had chance to dig in again. Cost 2 minor units, but worth it.
He wasted a cat against my stack in the woods across the river from his NE city & our raiders slipped away with a captured worker.
Gotta luv these predictable AI generals... they stripped their NE city to react to the raiding party. Thus allowing cats & tribs to get into position sooner than planned.
There's much spoils to grabbed, but ya gotta get in the fite.
My plan is to wear him down/thin out his E border. Not going for total conquest unless get some help from his W flank (U guys).
