But... Ecthelion of Vikes seems to want all that he can grab of the crumbling Greek Empire… incl'g Rhodes which is in what should be Mali's sphere. Conjuering their last 2 capitols wasn't enuf(?!). Thus all avail units have had to be sent to Rhodes to finish our capturing NEXT TURN.
Ecthelion of Vikings ; Trust that is OK & will be honored? Please use your remaining forces to finish of rest of Greek civ = U can then have the victory points for final destructionof Sitting Bull's Greeks.(!).
Or if ye insist on trying to overwhelm Rhodes on your next turn... U will be straight about it=if U fail, as U probably will; the curssairs & muskets that die in such an attempt will remain that way.

Fellow leaders in this very interesting civ world; this following turn MUST BE my last on this planet. It appears that it will be an excellent time to for my successor to take over & lead Magnificent Mali to a glorious victory (or at least, a podium spot) on this planet!

Rhodes has fallen to the Mity Mali ! It was somewhat costly, but worth it. That concludes Mali's ambitions toward Greece. Tho tempted to make Peace & get a some gold (& he was even willing to capitulate!), i leave that decision with new ruler... if the Greek empire even exists after next round. Ecteh's Vikes can have the glory & points for final elim of the once mity Sit Bull.
That freed up several units to move in behind English column. Tho needed, Pikemen are guarding newly conquered Greek cities to ensure our other ally keeps his promises of Peace.
Again, will leave DofWar against Peter/England up to next generation of leaders. Ecteh's Vikes mite be well advised to jump on Peter/England also... of course, that would make him even MORE powerful.

The Magnificent Mali are now in position to secure their W borders & start colonizing some excellent islands to the E. The grand galleons are en route to several distant shores that will not be a threat to any other civ. Peace & Prosperity are on the horizon!

WAR!!

Viking Empire declares war to Mali!

The expansion of the powerful Mali Kingdom towards the Viking Northern border was being seen by the Vikings' Emperor as a potential future threat to the safety of the Empire and his population.

After the fall of Rhodes by Mali's forces, action was necessary and the Viking High Council took the decision, by unanimity, to order Viking armies to expel Mali's units to their territory and to retake former Greek cities.

The Cuirassiers charged and have disbanded most of Mali's army. Rhodes and Knossos have fallen to Viking control.

The Emperor has also accepted Sitting Bull capitulation and he is now a vassal of the Viking Empire.

Long live the Emperor!

Rhodes was up for grabs & Mali beat U to it fair & square. Trusting U would honor the truce/agreement we had. That's flat outrageous.
It is hoped every leader possible notes & will help reject such aggression by the (current) #1 power.

May Mali & it's allies smash your vain, unwarranted, unprovoked assaults.

*At least i slowed them down by cutting every road i could suspecting possible treachery. Of course, it was noted that U were moving up your combat engrs as U conquered.
