Recently, my bosses decided that my job description didn't require me to have internet access at work. If anyone remembers, I posted a little while ago that my office manager is a psycho, and I got on her bad side recently... and here's the consequences. My internet connection at home is prehistoric, so I don't use it that much. I probably won't be around the forums until another month or so when I get back to school.

Hello. Seems like you guys should have like a newcomers forum since there's so many pages of this stuff. Anyway. I initially posted in the wrong forum so lemme repost here.

I'm not really new to Civ III, I bought the Vanilla the first month it came out, but I never really got into it until Conquests. Mostly though I just played scenarios and other things. Only recently did I begin taking my normal game seriously. I have stepped up to Warlord (Probably a piece of cake for you Sid players) and I think I've got that down so I'm gonna step up to Regent soon.

Anyway I'm just introducing myself here. I'm hoping these forums can give me some pointers and tips as I become a more hardcore Civ gamer.

Thanks for stopping in Kabe.

If you really want to improve your game, start by reading the war academy. It's alot to absorb, but almost all the intracacies of the game are detailed there.

Also, you could lurk/join some SG's, as the discussion in one of those is a great learning tool as well.

As the newly added note in my sig says, I'm leaving shortly for a few days vacation in the US. I'm going to spend some time visiting my friends in New York, a few days losing my shirt in Vegas, and I'll be going to Pennsylvania to campaign for Kerry as well.

Not that I'm wild about him, just that I find the alternative terrible.

Tomorrow I'm flying with my family (parents and two sisters) to the US. I've never been there before, and I better not be dissapointed We're going to NYC, Washington DC, San Francisco, Las Vegas and LA, which seem to me like the most important places in this way-too-big-for-one-visit country.
