I'm back for a limited time, as is spoken of in the cover of Phil Ochs' Pleasures of the Harbour initial album cover monologue. I doubt I am known here though..

The number beneath your avatar would testify otherwise... :)

You are known by some  :wavey:

Nice to know my brief return has brought at least one old (and "famous") poster out of retirement :D

I'll be in Montreal until monday the 31st. God have mercy....

"Famous" poster?

What a funny concept.

Surely this Richard III cannot be the real deal? Ian McKellen posts on the Internet?

Indeed he is real, and an ancient poster of great repute!

:)

I bid you a fond farewell good sir. :salute:

Its a shame that people couldn't see past your political beliefs and actually enjoy your zany remarks.

"Perfection: you're not Perfect, you're from Anoka. If you were perfect, you'd be from Edina or Minnetonka."

No, those folks are too snobby.

Farewell, Mr. Sharpe, I've had to call you on a few of your silly comments, but more often then not you tell the truth in the most amusing ways.

I feel left out (looks at meager post count and Join Date) :shakehead

I don't take the C-train, but all the damn spillover means every train is crowded. God damn those hobos and their need for warmth.

Btw, I love you because you have easily the most misunderstood beliefs on the forum...

Just one less obstacle for me to become the post master (which should be achieved around 2008, when civ 5 will be realeased).

Anyway, I'm betting 50 canadian bucks that you pop back in here in less then a month.

@rmsharpe
Keep posting 9.43 posts a day for another 26 days and you'll hit 12,000 posts before you bail on us. ;)

stratego: I'm neutral on you. You're decent even if I don't agree with your viewpoints.

If you stay a little longer, I can make an enemy out of you. Afterall making enemies is my current agenda (kinda like that crazy guy, Bush).

Anyways, good luck being off CFC. It'll give you more time to do whatever you conservatives hillbillies do, like watch Fox Jeffworthy or something. By the way the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy is on again.

Sharpe. hahaha, well, i guess we'll see. Wouldnt it be embarassing if it turned out I was right?
anyways, take care. I have to admit, even though i didnt really agree with most of what you were saying (sans anti-communism stuff), but i always enjoyed listening to what you had to say, if nothing else to get my blood pressure up a little every now and again :)

Besides. you like the same movies I do. You cant be that bad!

come back and visit sometime

Looks like I've reached the end of the line. As long as I'm in the mood, I'll post my final comments.

The forum in general has been heading in a downward spiral for some time now. Whether it is the caliber (or lack thereof) of new posters or not, I can't say specifically. Maybe it's because of the repetition of threads. I honestly really don't know, nor do I really care.

I figure now that it won't make a lick of diference what I post or say here, as the consequences are going to be the same regardless of any action that I take, I may as well just take advantage of what situation I have.

And to round it out, here's some personal messages for you all.

<snip>

That about wraps it up. Again, them's the breaks. If you didn't get listed here...well, no offense, but I couldn't remember you off the top of my head.

I'll be on AIM, MSN, what have you. I'm almost always availible to yak, so just identify yourself and I'll be there, unless I don't like you.

Anyhow, I hope you can all keep your sanity (if you've still got it.)

Good luck.

Moderator Action: Merged with Official arriving / leaving thread.
Moderator Action: Personal references to other posters removed

Well, my personal references got ripped and really the highlight of my post was deleted. I saved it to my hard drive, though. (I won't repost it...here.)

Anyhow, thought I'd check in on this thread a final time...see if there were any more replies. Other than that...I'm gone.

Oh dear, rmsharpe is leaving, things just won't be the same without your witty comments :(

Well Sharpe, despite our differences, all of them, it's sad to see you go. Sometimes you had a great gem of a quote that made me laught.
Good luck.

Till last by Philip's farm I flow
To join the brimming river,
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on for ever.

- The Brook by Alfred Lord Tennyson.

See ya, Sharpe. :)
