each state has is like it's own country but a satellite state of Washington. That's why. I always thought there would be much more weaker state power

The thing is, pre constitutional America and the CSA both had a weak central government (on purpose) but now the federal government is very strong and powerful. As time has gone on, the states lost power. That's why it is one nation and not 50.

Every law that i serch that USA has, it brings a map of states and shows there laws. Abortion, same sex marriage,state minimum law (the minimum wage that is above the federal wage), drug law, welfare and ETC. The federal government is really weak compared to states. They have their own strong government, their own constitutions( apart from the federal constitution.) and have very different laws.
But of course there must be federal laws too. Here in Brazil it's the inverse, the States have little power to make their own laws.
What's funny is that now we consider ourselves a Federation, while in the times of the Empire we were a unitarian state. Back then some states abolished slavery before the whole country. Nowadays I don't know any important law not being applied to the whole country.

Minecraft with the Candy texture pack is awesome. I'm making a place called the Halls of Hershey, and it's like a candy version of Moria.

Not necessarily. Technically, the federal government can't force the state government to have, say, the same drinking age, but they use things like land grants or other bonuses to urge the state to make these things the same as the federal law. The state TECHNICALLY has quite a bit of power, but in reality, it's under a very strong federal leash.
Whichever law is more strict is what the law of that particular land is. Despite some illicit drugs being legal in California it is still in violation of federal law to posses said substance. A Federal Agent could potentially arrest someone violating federal law, despite state law.
