Ah– I assumed we were still talking about the fly episode, which hinges a fair amount around said female character.

Oh, no, I really like that episode. Mouthwash said the Mods wouldn't like the episode.

No, I said the mods wouldn't like a video of a methhead shouting obscenities.

As for the episode, I found it pretty cliche. Which ain't usual for Breaking Bad.

Is it possible for a person to think of different body parts of theirs as having different gender identities?

Sometimes just for lulz I like to think of my two legs as married - the left leg as a female and my right leg as male, but in this case it's more like what some people do when they name inanimate objects and give them personalities or whatever (like calling your ipod Carlos or whatever). Though granted my legs are technically animate, but whatever.

Well, in many languages they have different grammatical genders. I also tend to think of my computer as an 'it' in English but as a 'she' in Spanish, because of the word's grammatical gender in each language.

Does that apply to body parts too?

Anyway, judging from the answers I'm getting, it doesn't seem to be a well-founded concept.

In Spanish, let's see… arms, feet, eyes and eyelids are masculine, while hands, legs, eyelashes and ears are feminine.

I've never thought like that, but we all have our quirks. I tend to ascribe traits to colors. Yellow is weak, silly, light-hearted, and cowardly, black is rare, strong, and heavy, green is all over the place depending on shade, and so on. Generally I think of darker colors as being stronger, heavier, more serious, and all-round better than lighter ones, so I eat yellow M&Ms first and the honored brown ones last.

Reminds me of how I tend to eat my fruit snacks - in a very specific order of color.

White
Yellow
Green
Blue
Red
Orange
Purple

In cases where there are more than one variation of a color, the closest in terms of flavor to firstly grape and then secondly orange get precedence.

Grape and orange artificial fruit flavors are my favorite, to give this all some slight context.

My laptop keeps crashing when I play BTS. Generally once every two or three hours. It's a Sony with windows 8.1, probably a moderately old one. It has an Intel Core i5-2430M, a 64-bit Operating System, a x64-based processor and eight GB of RAM. Should I attempt to fix it or just get a new computer? If it's the latter, any recommendations? I would like something useful for gaming.

I thought you were trying to kick the habit?

Gaming in moderation is good. I still do it even when I'm not in addicted mode.

My computer has even worse specs than yours and doesn't have this problem. If you can get it repaired for a low enough price I would do it.

What type of crash?

Not really. Grammatical gender in romance and germanic languages is really just a grammatical function derived from etymology.
If i name the like 25 parts of my arm that a lay person can name i get three sets of words relatively equally distributed accross the three genders (and, yes, my ulna and radius have female names - which makes total sense).
Finger male, hand female, wrist neutral, arm male, shoulder female etc. etc.
(This even applies to body parts that usually only about half the people would have).

Any sort of actual gendered association only really works if it's something that can be easily personified/antropomorphised.
I suppose it's possible that the sun "feels" more female to me than justice and liberty do to you (loads of statues with firm physique notwithstanding). Cause, yeah, we really wanted to mess with the romance people and gender-flipped our celestial bodies.

But...uhm... horsies are neutral. And chairs male. And speed female. :mischief:

Blue screen of death. Looks nicer on Windows 8, though.

Is there any information along with the BSOD? Does it give an error code that you could google?

This seems more like a software issue than a hardware one; it may be simpler to fix your laptop than to get a whole new computer.
