Oh, the weather outside is...

Here in Missouri, we’ve been in a drought since the beginning of summer. It looks like it’s about over though, it’s cooled off and we’ve had a few rainy days. This last week has been unusually warm for this time of year, though.

Somehow, even though the river near my house has been low for over a month, it never occurred to me that we might be having a drought.

Yeah, there’s been no rain, and the weather has been unusually hot in the past few months. The national weather service has declared Missouri in a state of extreme drought since early August.

I live in a valley next to a river so I think that helps with the heat a bit. I have noticed the lack of rain, but all I ever thought was, "all right! less lawn mowing," not "oh no, drought".

Makes sense. The recent lack of rain has helped me not to have to mow the lawn. Where exactly in Missouri are you?

I'd rather not be too specific, but I live in the Mid Mo area, about 30 minutes from Jefferson City. What part of Missouri are you in?

I travel alot around the world. The weather fluctuates. Sometimes its great and othertimes not so much. The worst is out at sea.

We're supposed to be entering our annual Fall rasputitsa season with rains and temps just above freezing. Instead we're getting sunny sky's and +24C weather this weekend!

The forecast is for snow and rain next weekend, but the forecast has been continually saying its going to turn cold and rainy, then they keep pushing out when that dip is going to happen.

73 in Vermont this weekend.

75 in DC right now. November so far been quite a bit warmer than October.

Hit early 20's other day.

Been mild running heat pump on cool (18 degrees)

Clear tonight, lovely view of the Moon I could have used last night, for the eclipse.

We have a cold weather warning. It's -33C, heading to -36C (with wind chill). Even I find that too cold. My fingers are freezing. This is curl-up-in-bed-with-a-cat-and-book weather.

Currently at 1 degree celciusd. Sunday has snow flurries. That's the day we dig out the driveway. Fun Fun Fun..........
