Oh, the weather outside is...

And then a return to, what is it in Spain, 70 degrees? :o

Here it's bad too, still 22-34 each day. Will it ever end?...
It depends on the region. Spain is pretty big.

Wet, cold, hail then it froze over on hills. BIL saw nasty crash site with ambulances.

The August camping season in the Adirondacks has been defined by rain, rain, and more rain. Really getting tired of sitting under a tarp all day...

After 43 days with no measurable rain, a storm literally blew into town with 40-50 mile wind and a raging downpour...that lasted 30 minutes. Knocked the power out for a couple of hours. It also broke a 15-day streak of temperatures hovering around 108-112 (42-44c).

This is the forecast for Monday:

If accurate, it will be the first time in over 2 (closer to 3) months that the low is less than 20.
Finally.

Isn't that usually the case when autumn is around the corner? (you do get a normal autumn in Greece, I hope?) It's already started here.

Looks like it's going to be rainy and moderately windy, though not too awfully hot in the evening.

I had to go out today to retrieve my computer from the repair shop and the first thing that greeted me outside was a lungful of wildfire smoke. Nobody seems to know which fire it's from, but since we're pretty well surrounded by wildfires to the north and west (not sure about the other directions), it hardly matters at this point. I'm just glad none of them are happening here.

It would be so easy for much of Red Deer to burn like other places have this year, as we've purposely kept so many trees and parks around - not only for human enjoyment, but also as a wildlife migration corridor. If the moose, deer, and other animals have forested areas with creeks to move through, we won't have the same problem Calgary tends to have - moose and deer causing mayhem and getting killed on the freeway.

First frost can't come soon enough.

No need to try to defend Spain's honor over weather; it was a joke.
Like I said you can't generalize about weather in Spain. While Greece is a small coastal Mediterranean country with typical Mediterranean weather, Spain has several climates zones, more continental in the center with hot summers and cold winters, typical oceanic at the northern coast and similar to Greece in Andalusia and the Mediterranean coast. So in average Greece is more tropical than Spain, which is good for tourism so you should be happy, or maybe it hurts your weather honor or something. Hard to say.

How so? You seem to care a lot apparently.

If you can't even take a joke about weather, it should tell you there's a problem :p
Literally no one cares about what the weather is in Spain. Clear now?

Moderator Action: Kyriakos you brought Spain up. Stop complaining when folks respond to your posts in ways you do not like. Your "joke" was not seen as such. Get over it. This is a weather thread and it is not a place to bicker.

A late blast of hot weather - 27C today.
Typical back to school weather.

Thick fog in the morning as a result - very autumnal.

Here's what's going on now. The air is smoky, the sky is grey, and I'm cold (time to put on another layer; I had to close the window today; it probably won't be open again until summer next year).

All temperatures are in Celsius, of course. I'm in the Mountain time zone.

Here's the forecast for tonight (it's 7:30 pm now):

Tremendous thunderstorms came through last night and dropped the temperature into the 70s F (20-25C). Forecast says it'll stay that way for a while, 70s during the day, 60s (15-20C) at night. I still want it cooler, but I'll take it. When it's 85-90 (30-32) and humid, I don't even want to go out for a walk.

We broke another heat record in the UK, with seven consecutive days in September at 30+ degrees C.
