Oh, the weather outside is...

I'm due for the Nor-easter tomorrow. Whoopie! :(

I hate snow.

Anything below 10C is cold, imo.

Which will make my plan to emigrate to Canada really difficult. Maybe the US is more realistic, tbh.
Well its 18F (-8C) here in Massachusetts, as well as Vermont (where Bernie Sanders if from), so I'd reconsider how realistic moving here would be :p, that is unless, of course, you want to go live in the deep south or southern California.

Expecting a "Nor'easter" here today, 9"-12"/23-30cm of snow with 50mph winds.

The only downside is that I was hoping to do some grocery shopping on the way home, but I imagine people will be mobbing the stores like it's friggin' Doomsday. Poor planning, on my part.
Well that was anti-climactic. Barely got 4"/2.5cm.

In the 60s today and tomorrow! And as expected: sunny.

My neighbor snowblowing his basketball court so we can shoot some hoops later (cuz you know Syracuse is a basketball town!).
We got some snow from this Nor'Easter, but for us this isn't that significant a snowfall.

Lakers Effect. Oh wait, that's NBA. In Syracuse it would be the Carolina/Duke Effect.... :p

Yeah, 10" at my place in southern NH. 8-14" in surrounding towns. Nothing compared to NJ and nearby PA that I heard were 30"+, and a relatively dry consistency that didn't challenge my snowblower at all.

hasn't rained for an entire month and the heat index has been around roughly 35-40 C for nearly that long too, despite it being wet season and la niña usually causing lower temperatures and higher humidity in southeastern brazil

We went to Tagbilaran yesterday and got drowned. :run:
We're back home today with light, scattered showers. :twitch:
Oh noes, we has a

posting here now!

It's supposed to snow and get very cold to the south, west, and north of here. That means we could get some snow, it could miss us completely, or we could get walloped and I'd have to worry about whether I could make it out of here next Tuesday (series of medical appointments going on for the past while and continuing for the next while, nothing Covid-related).

Well, the snow is no longer "could". It's coming down quite steadily now, and I can hear a plow somewhere in the distance (I live near two major hills, so they sand and plow those first, to lessen the number of accidents).

And then the snow stopped, the sky is not 100% overcast, and last time I looked, the temperature was a balmy -6C... not that I mind, but it's a bit nerve-wracking to not be sure if we're going to get what the rest of the province is expecting or not.

Another snow whollop coming tomorrow. Supposed to get 40 centimetres. Oh joy. A day of snow blowing and working from home.
