Oh, the weather outside is...

Going to be sunny and about 50F today; and likely the rest of the week.
Better than 26F 🥶
26 is about where we are now. I just went outside without my coat, just to drop some stuff in the mailbox, and it was okay for a minute or two. 50/10C is more my speed, when I can wear a jacket but don't need a winter coat. But I wouldn't want it to be 50 in the Winter, because that would mean it'll be 100/38C in the Summer, at which point I would probably just drop dead.

I just don't want to get to the point where it gets so cold, that I wear layers upon layers of coats that I can't put my arms down :p.

The "feels like" temperature was -6 this morning, in broad daylight, and I don't think it will get above freezing all day. That's in southern England, where these conditions are not the winters we expect.

If anyone wants to get in on the ground floor, winter parkas and window-mounted air conditioners could be a burgeoning market in the UK over the next handful of years.

Like much of Europe it has been cold and frosty here in Ireland for the past two weeks. No snow, though some fell nearby last night. -5.5C according to my car this morning. Last freezing night tonight thankfully, returning to the usual wind and rain at the weekend.

All frost has cleared and its a nice now but there's a storm coming. Should pass overnight Sunday thankfully.

Ice storm tomorrow! They've already cancelled school all over the region.
Of the first 5 days of the semester, we've cancelled 2 days and had no heat in my building the other 3. We are off to a great start.

-20C tonight, with light snow. I'm back to normal layers of clothing.

It was clear enough earlier to see the Moon. :)

It snowed yesterday. It's personally inconvenient, but we desperately need it. There's drought in the south and wildfires still smoldering from last summer. The fire season has already been declared.

Currently around +20C, but within hours we're going to drop below freezing with around 20cm of snow forecast:
Syracuse is expected to hit a record-high 70 degrees today, for the second day in a row -- in late February. And within hours, winter will roar back with damaging winds and lake effect snow that could last through the day Thursday. In one thin strip, nearly a foot of snow could fall, the National Weather Service says. “There is a risk of near-blizzard conditions at times in the heaviest snow bands.,” the snow warning said. The high wind warning starts at 2 p.m. today; the lake effect snow warning runs from 10 tonight until 7 p.m. Thursday.
Below is a pic of where the lake effect snow band is supposed to form. 11 inches over 20 hours typically isn't that much for us, but considering this is our first big snowfall in months there'll probably be some fender benders on the roads tomorrow....

Lousy Smarch weather.
First snow of the winter on March 1st.

We've had quite a bit of snow in the last few days. It's inconvenient for me to go to the mall tomorrow, but we honestly do need it.
