Sounds about right, but I am not an expansionist. I voted no to acquiring Cuba and that although Texas being the union would be good, it was not worth war with Mexico.

Interesting poll, but impossible to know which newspaper is better.

Also, I'm sure there are many other pillars of their beliefs that could easily change one from one party to the other. I find today that on a percentage basis I'd be in one party, but because certain issues are significantly more important to me I tend to vote for the other party.
