Open Spots in NES.

Hello! I need some talented NESers for the positions of the Takeda and Otomo clans in my NES. Please take a look if it might interest you! (there are other interesting clans open as well, such as Matsuura, Satake, Asakura, Nanbu, etc.).

I have need for a person to play as a Japanese or Indian culture to stop the encroaching invaders of their lands

Picking up the Pieces is not set in any facsimile of the Real World, instead it is Earth following an Alien Invasion. Play as any Alien species you can imagine, play as most any human faction (not the taken ones), pick up an attractive NPC, the pieces of the world are yours for the taking.

Fresh start Earth map futurism. We have just had our third update. There is plenty of room left and the rules are designed to allow new players to join and establish themselves as quickly as they please.

My NES Evil Genius NES is looking for potential evil overlords that will be willing to make an attempt and TAKE OVER THE WORLD. We have a guy who wishes to convert the United Nations into a true World Government which worships him as a god, as well as several free positions where a new guy can insert himself and start doing mischief.

I'm still looking for new players for my modern world NES.

NWolfNES II - Premium Edition - Colonization of the Mithril Isles
is about to launch update 0. Today is the last day to join and be part of the update 0. NWolfNES II takes place in a fictional (WoW inspired) world, You play as an orcish Tribe who were sent to colonize a new realm to gain access to Mithril armor and weapons. Mithril itself is very powerful metal, that deflects most hits, heals its wearer and can even withstand an indirect nuclear blast (wearer will be killed or mutated tho). Humans seem to have huge supply of Mithril ore. The Horde has none. Its your goal to build up and lead your tribe towards glory and, get some of this new metal in the progress. The Horde needs you!

Are You ready to complete this task for The Horde? Or are you weakling whose east-end-of-west-bound-horse is always being "taken forecfully" by random village nutjobs?

I'm in need of someone to lead a nationalist/liberal Revolution in 1836 Europe for my NES Capto Iugulum. In a world that never had a French Revolution, it's a wonderful chance to pave the roads with skulls and whatnot in a unnamed part of Europe. Please send me a PM if you wish to know the nation and are interested in starting an interesting new era.

Otherwise, here's a list of nations with interesting starting locations or political positions for others:

Naples: Having just been beaten by the Pope and Spain in a devastating war, the Kingdom of Two Sicilies was split in two, Naples and Sicily. Naples is the stronger of the two and its monarch looks to rebuild his former power.

Novgorod: The most "modern" of the Russian nations, Novgorod faces a growing Moscowy to its south and seeks to preserve its independence, and perhaps even one day lead a Russian unification.

Papal States: The Papacy has of late won a war against most of its neighbors with the help of Spain and Austria. They stand in an unprecedented position of secular influence and power on the Italian peninsula. Can they stand against the tide of liberalism and nationalism?

Poland: Surrounded by ambitious nations like Hungary, Brandenburg, and Moscowy, Poland seeks not only to preserve its independence, but its status as a regional power. War is inevitable as Poland seeks to curtail its neighbors' growth.

Roman Empire: The empire of Constantinople is trembling at its foundations. Having been forced to cede Serbia's independence by Hungary and facing increasing turmoil within its borders, the fate of the remnants of Rome's empire are uncertain. As the Caliphate grows in power, the empire may well fall to both its internal and external foes, unless of course, given sound leadership.

Savoy: One of the stronger Italian states, Savoy only fought briefly in the recent Second Venetian War agaisnt Austria. Their limited involvement and success has bought them some influence in the region, and under their enlightened monarch could one day bring unification to the Italian peninsula.

Aztec Empire: The Aztecs have long fought to maintain their empire, which struggles to hold its current boundaries agaisnt Spain and the insidious influences of Christianity. It seems to many a civil war is on the horizon, but if the Aztecs emerge intact, a whole western part of a continent awaits for them to dominate.

Republic of New Granada: Having failed to reclaim Venezuela, losing Panama and Ecuador in the process, the Republic of New Granada is only a republic in name. Controlled by a military junta, the nation ahs begun to rebuild from war in preparation for the next inevitable conflict in northern South America.

United States of New Spain: Having just won their independence from the Empire of Holy Spain, the USNS still felt the treaty a bitter pill to swallow. Only the southern provinces of New Spain managed to win their independence. A blank slate nation, no constitution has been formed as of yet, and the future is uncertain. Will the republic presevere or will the USNS succumb to infighting and sectionalism?

Japan: The 1835 Spanish expedition to Japan has made the Japanese people aware of their vulnerability to European imperial powers. Will this cause them to open their doors and began the hard road to westernization? Or will tradionalists triumph and keep the gates barred as tight as they possibly can?

Siam: The British have invaded Vietnam and are poised to dominate Burma. In this atmosphere, Siam's monarch fears European influences and searches for a way to help the nation survive politically. A tough position exists, as Siam is threatened on all sides by the growing British Empire.

Thrones of Lore is my latest NES, and it has a very streamlined ruleset. I plan for it to be my ongoing, truly "neverending" effort. Please check out the thread. Some points about Thrones of Lore:

- It is a fresh start NES set in a fictional, single-continent world similar in climate and peoples to Europe (from the Mediterranean to Scandinavia).

- Fantasy creatures occupy this world, but humans are the only playable race (intelligent, capable of civilization, etc.).

- We begin in the Bronze Age, and will eventually work our way up to the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and perhaps beyond!

- You create a culture, and then a nation within that culture. But the culture you create will also spawn other nations (your neighbors).

- Magick exists, but it is not as crazy or fantastic as you might believe.

Hopefully you'll join. :)

TerraNES: The Civil Experiment, Invites you to a new World!

What if Bronze Age Civilizations are both more pervasive and spread out?
What if the horizon never ends, through war and pace?
What if history goes on forever, cycling through life and death?
What if you get to ride on the sea of time?
Can you withstand the test of time? Can you? Join and find out!

TerraNES: The Civil Experiment is my first NES and I admit it has many faults. However, I will not be modest in saying that I am a pretty lenient Mod in waiting for late orders/pointing out order discrepancies. Both new comers and old salts are welcome, and I offer both a gentle cradle and a thundering storm of a ride!

Influential Nations: Lijuria, Hyak Empire, Katan Kingdom, Huai Kingdom (taken), Patali Empire, Illian Confederacy
Other Nations: Republic of Cyrus, Citystates of Tyre and Byblos, Tribes of Canaan, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Kouma, Kingdom of Ortun, City-state of Hormun, Republic of Damascus, Daretoki Confederacy and more!

Even now, you can join as a fresh culture migrating into the light of civilization seeking to add to the tinder, or threaten to blow it out forever! As the Green Plague ravages the civilized world, new horizons will open as the armor of the civilized peoples crack. Will you rush in and make your name?

Join now and read Update 5 of the ongoing classic-style fresh start.

GamezNES is in desperate need of an Italy and Turkey.

I keep thinking that Anatolia would be a good place for someone to start if they wanted to join Tabula Rasa, but most of China is still open too. (Could take over either Sudanese or Korean NPC's as well).

Of course you could just face the warmongering tribes outside of the cradles.

TerraNES: The Civil Experiment, Invites you to a renewed World!

What if Bronze Age Civilizations are both more pervasive and spread out?
What if memories of the first fall of Civilization is fresh in memory?
What if the centers of civilization begun to rot, attracting vultures from around the world?
What if the horizon never ends, yet as more thing change, more things stay the same?
What if you have the power to bring a new age of greatness upon the earth, after a devastating plague?
Wonder no more! Join TerranNES: The Civil Experiment!

Influential Nations: Sirian Empire, Byzantinos, Daretokimas
Other Nations: Utica, Keres, Phoenicia, Nubians, Vanassi, and many, many others rising to civilization, about to fall from civilization, or at the peak of civilization!

As the Green Plague splintered away the weakest of the old order, those who survived begun banding together into larger groups against bandits and pirates. Will you help tear apart a fragile alliance to form you empire? Will you unite the pirates under your own agenda? Will take advantage of the collapse and invade civilization?

All this, and more, is only possible if you join!

Absolution 4: Tabula Rasa is a fresh start, story driven game. Do not be intimidated that we are a few turns in, there are NPC's with PC equivalent stats and any New Faction will be brought in on a level playing field, at the beginning of the Bronze Age.

TerraNES: The Civil Experiment is a fresh start game which has many believable NPCs, complex situations, and much fun. Although the PC's currently have the head start in many places, usually that is because they simply survived the longest, and many an NPC have good influence (see the NPC catalogue). In addition, barbaric areas can be subdued by an enterprising player.

Although the Experiment places value on realism and complex situations, I am not a tough mod. I've nursed many a new player to competency, and if you ask, I will be happy to offer critque on orders and choices. Realism need not block creativity, and if it is a good idea I will either allow it outright or simply ask you to spend a few turns developing it. Finally, there are many new areas with much less complex politics which you can nurture to the next center of civilization.

Opportunities abound, but only the brave seize them to achieve glory.

LizNES6: Fortune Favors The Brutal is in need of new players.

I have over 90 free nations, both weak and strong. Regardless if you are a new NESer, or someone who has been around these forums since the start, LizNES is an interesting modern NES, with relatively simple rules, and a fair playing field, as of yet. The NES is still in it's beginning stages, and it wouldn't be too hard to play catch up.

Some very strong nations are still available, and I'd love some players to at least give them a try.

The Korean Empire - One of the richest nations in the game, with a lot of potential. The Korean Empire sits next to a weak Manchurian and Chinese state, and has the ability to be a very dominant force in East Asia.

The Republic of Kiev - With the recent take over of Russia, the Republic of Kiev remains one of the most powerful and important nations in the area, but in the entirety of Europe.

The Republic of Brazil - Not a single player is in South America, but Brazil should be appealing to anyone who wants to give the NES a try. It is fairly rich, politically stable, and surrounded by essentially non-threatening nations.

Siam - A very strong Southeast Asian nation, with a lot of territory throughout Indonesia and Oceania. It has great potential, and is already the regions largest power.

Deseret - Not only would you have one of the worlds largest and most advanced militarys behind you, you'd have a fanatical population and the support of one of the worlds largest organizations, the New Church of the Latter Day Saints. You are the arbiter of North America, after all.

Post in the thread to claim, and feel free to send me a PM with any questions you might have!
