Open Spots in NES.

I will say it again and again, but Capto Iugulum is beginning its Boring Time, a perfect chance for people to jump in and prepare a nation for the 20th century. A large number of actually good nations are available including the Roman Empire, Austria, and more. Here's the link to the ongoing process:

LizNES6: Fortune Favors The Brutal is in need of new players.

I have over 90 free nations, both weak and strong. Regardless if you are a new NESer, or someone who has been around these forums since the start, LizNES is an interesting modern NES, with relatively simple rules, and a fair playing field, as of yet. The NES is still in it's beginning stages, and it wouldn't be too hard to play catch up.

Some very strong nations are still available, and I'd love some players to at least give them a try.

The Korean Empire - One of the richest nations in the game, with a lot of potential. The Korean Empire sits next to a weak Manchurian and Chinese state, and has the ability to be a very dominant force in East Asia.

The Republic of Kiev - With the recent take over of Russia, the Republic of Kiev remains one of the most powerful and important nations in the area, but in the entirety of Europe.

Siam - A very strong Southeast Asian nation, with a lot of territory throughout Indonesia and Oceania. It has great potential, and is already the regions largest power.

Deseret - Not only would you have one of the worlds largest and most advanced militarys behind you, you'd have a fanatical population and the support of one of the worlds largest organizations, the New Church of the Latter Day Saints. You are the arbiter of North America, after all.

Post in the thread to claim, and feel free to send me a PM with any questions you might have!

I have freshly updated my NES. It is a classic fresh start earth NES where our first player just entered the middle bronze age. Religion is leading to war in many regions, and in other places, it binds nations in peace.

There are many growing powers in tough positions for experienced NESers, there are also many simpler nations with room to roam. However, I will give you as much as you give me; send me simple orders and short stories, and I will tailor the update for you. Send in orders filled with intrigue and diplomacy, and write epics... you will find you got something worth plotting about!

Absolution is still accepting custom player states and brave crusaders to take up the plight of one of the many player equivalent NPCs.

It's light, it's fun. You get what you put in. The update shows up on time.

:p

Terrance is also a reliable provider for your NES needs.

SKNES: Architecture of Aggression is a simple fresh start NES, set in a post-Roman Europe. There's plenty of NPCs, or you can create a new nation somewhere. Fight for your faith, fight for plunder, fight for land, fight for prestige - or don't fight. You can shape your nation as you see fit. I'll be glad to help you get started if you need, especially if you're a new NESer.

LdiCesare is running a really interesting NES set in a sort of fantasy world where you control a powerful being trying to ascend to godhood. There are a number of NPC factions that might be adopted by an interested player.

There are many powers in TerraNES ready to take their stand in the world stage. Since we are in a bit of haitus, this is a perfect time to come in and shake up the world.

Bonus: next update is update 13!

Recommended nations
Sardican Empire: Preeminent in the Western Seas and facing brutal combat with the Zirilists of southern Italy.
Republic of Apulia: Successor of Ctesiphod, Apulia is much more progressive and expansionistic
Mediolaun: Milan, with the weakening of Ctesiphod, has a rare opportunity to reunite all of Cytria.
Danae: Strongest of the Aramyan Successor states, they have various plans ready to regain the dominance of Aramya in Levea
Hormun: A rather compliant but strong trading state, they have no internal problems and could easily start a colonial movement
Daretokimas Raj: A large Ganges-based Empire, they must hold together as elements once again seek to tear it into its componet pieces while trying to maintain its significance next to Dakinsa.

Core offers unlimited open spaces, in whatever profession and allegiance you come up with. Join a mafia, join the cops, be some random farmer trying not to get killed. All work just fine!

DominionNES2 could use some players to take over NPC nations.
Want to be a god ruling a nation of mortals?

You can be the mummified wizard leading the lizardmen of C'tis to greatness.
You can be the Anvil ruling fierce, almost barbarian inhabitants of the hills and woods of Ulm.
You can take over Boeuf , a realm of minotaurs and men.
You can take over Falaxan, a medieval kingdom where the king is the prophet of the stealthy deity Ezio the Fox.
You can be the Phoenix, immortal god of Firland, mighty conquerors enemies of chaos leading fire elementals in their armiees of men, dwarves and elves.
You can be Heldenthal, with their knights and the beautiful crone who controls the will of the inhabitants through her charms.
You can be whatever god you can imagine, lurking at the border of the World, in the Chaos where magic and madness reign and everything is possible.

If you want some light relief while waiting for other NESes, feel free to come over to Blueprint Humanity and help design the map and the pantheon. :)

NWolfNES III - Opportunity edition - Home wasn't built in a day, has just had its turn zero update, which:

* Created several NPC cultures, which players can take up and adjust according to their preference, including:
Razgod - amazons, who kill males without mercy and force their own male boys to fight until death in several matches,
Hillfolk - People who live in the mountains, but control most of the tin, copper and bronze trade in West.
Mouran - People in the East, who have interesting culture with ranks, nobility, merchants and who also control majority of tin, copper and bronze trade.
Jagadai - people who live in cities or villages, that are always fortified with strong walls
And the 'Western City States' aka 'Bergan' - people who value looting, seamanship and raiding over everything - the plague of Western areas.

There are many NPC nations (with stats!) already existing and you can always choose a spot and create a new nation.

I am about to start my NES, Rising Families of Greyport, it's a mafia style NES where you will play as an associate in a family (I have three families already made and bosses for those families). The updates are in game weekly and I intend on posting an update every week. I would like to get the NES started this week and currently have six players and would love more. The link to it is: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=473544

Is there an NES/has there ever been one with a focus on mid to late 20th century Asia?

Bump for usefullnes. My nes TerraNES will be updated (today hopefully) soon and will have many new nations to offer.

I am also currently looking for something nice, lite, and with good horizons for role play.
