Opinions of nudism

Nudists don't go to nudist beaches so that they can stare at all the other nudists.

Why would they want to? They're ugly.

Most people are ugly. The beauty is all on the inside, amrite?

Anyway, the point is that nudists don't do what they do so they can ogle other nudists. What you said sort of implied that you thought that was the case.

Regarding "I don't want to see that"... there are a lot of faces on the street I don't want to see. Make them cover it up, I don't want to see that, they have no business going around with bare faces.

Nah only ugly people think that.

I think they get turned on by fat naked senior citizens and that's why they do it.

Cover up your avatar m'lady, it is FILTHY

Maybe if people walked around naked more, they´d take better care of their bodies? :mischief:

And this is the best reason to allow nudity. This post wins the thread. :)

I can't really understand nudism. I just don't see the big attraction of being naked. I feel more comfortable with clothes on. Even if I'm just sitting at home I feel better with shirts and a t-shirt than nude. I could see the comfort in swimming nude or on the beach but to make a lifestyle out of it just seems totally weird. Nudists say we hide behind our clothes, but what's wrong with that? Another argument I've heard is that the clothing industry exploits garment workers, but going nude seems really extreme. Couldn't you just buy your clothes from consignment shops? What are the arguments in favor of nudism?

The main reson clothes ever came into existance was for warmth and protection from the elements.
The reasons I can see for being a nudist are; I imagine in some catholic kind of areas/familys/social groups, there is a lot of "shame" implanted in them by the religion especialy about sex, and so when some would grow up, they would grow out of this and feel that the only way of getting out of the feeling is to strip off (something like that anyway).
Then of course there are the others like, those that are psudo-anarchist, "against society" and capitalism, and those that just like the sexual aspect of it.

I think more people are grossed out by the average person walking around naked than they are by the average person's face. Perhaps that's arbitrary, but that's how it is -- if you can get most people to agree with you (either no clothes, or cover up all your skin) then go for it. ;)

To get serious for a moment, yes being naked can be fun and liberating, but to have others see it is not for me. That's something to share with that special someone only, an exhilarating state that only two people close to each other can truly enjoy. I wouldn't want to dilute that in any way by making nakedness anything but a special state when shared with a lover.

(Yes, to be naked in front of others is a sexual thing to me.)

I think it's a pretty cool movement and I see the appeal of being naked. However, I don't think I would make a lifestyle out of it. For those that do, power to them.

You're right. I guess I have to just get over it, ugly people are gonna keep walking around with bare faces.

Men are people too.

Being a man, I really don't agree with this:p

I think its kinda silly, but I don't really have an issue with it, inherently. However, local jurisdictions should decide how they want to handle it. In certain communities it may not be good.

Nothing wrong with nudity in private, not so much in most public areas though. However, the nice thing about not having roommates is that you can do whatever you want. Sometimes its nice to just lounge around in boxers, its like wearing nothing at all!
And sometimes not even that although not for long and mostly just at night.

Moderator Action: Please do not solicit naked pictures of other forum members (or any naked pictures, for that matter). An exchange on the subject deleted.

I'm not sure if I can come up with reasons for nudity being a huge deal. Society is pretty good at self regulating, and someone using their nudity to be lewd can probably be charged with some other offense.
