OptNES: Blueprint Humanity [Map Creation Thread]

Joining as Dirgel, God of Mutualism, Commensalism, & Parasitism.

Tile K9- Coastline extends from the west of the tile at a shallow southward angle until about 2/3 of the way across the tile, at which point it takes a sharp southward turn.

Oh Verteig. I think I'll just put that all under Symbiosis if that's OK ;)

Joining as Arrhent, God of Fertility.

B6, sea in the northernmost quarter. Rocky coast with a small delta or estuary.

Ooh, you're drawing our Gods too? Do you take requests? :mischief:

H8 has a green dot, which I think indicates it is land?

Chakra is the cosmic joke. Fat, often drunk, he is the patron god of parties, drinking, and date-rape. He wears a crown of grape-vines around his head, and his white tunic is often stained purple in images of him.

He is often depicted either as a great round human, or in the avatar-form of a Warrig; that is, half-pig, half-human. Piggy head, face and back hooves, human the rest of the way.

I'll be doing all of them, does that count? :D

For those interested, as well as Malar I've done Siri, Hu'gura and Chakra, but Siri in particular needs some work and Chakra kind of does too. Hu'gura's in a good enough state for me to upload him in the next couple of days though.

Takarzi has bloody hands. I'd say dreadlocks and braided beards too. His body is a Chimerical mix of various dominating animals: Lions, Eagles, ect, but the limbs usually end human-like (so the eagle claws would be turned so you can write with it).

Braided Beard can move like those of Davy Jones in Pirates of the Carribean. :D

Dirgel is a tall, sinewy God with unusually long limbs. His head changes based upon which aspect of symbiosis he is representing; his mutualistic head is similar to that of a Wolf or a Dog, his commensalistic head & neck are similar to those of an Egret, & his parasitic head is similar to that of a Jewel Wasp. His clothing also changes depending on which aspect of symbiosis he is representing; Mutualistic clothing is a fur cloak, Commensalistic Clothing is a silk toga, Parasitic Clothing is a snakeskin robe

If a part of his body is cut off or removed in some way, it will actively seek to reunite with Dirgel.

I think I'm going to have too much fun drawing Dirgel to pass up doing all three aspects.

Keep it coming, guys, this stuff will help a lot with the drawings. :)

Verteig is very rarely depicted in most artwork, since their is a certain stigmata among the living about glorifying the dead. He also cannot exist in his true form outside of Stertox, the realm of the dead, and instead mostly interacts with the world of the living through his servants. When he does appear in the mortal realm, usually to take those of importance personally to the underworld, he appears as a tall, reedy figure wearing garments made of a dark-colored material and bronze armor. He has no exposed skin, and only his blank white eyes can be seen under his bronze horned helmet. He usually carries a long pike with him in the rare instances when he is seen.

Since Verteig's presence in the mortal world is purely ethereal, his body can become the consistency of smoke at any instant he chooses, thus any physical attacks are useless against him. He can also deliver a curse of lingering death to anyone he touches, necessitating the full coverage of his body.

Optical, since I deal with the underworld, do you mind if I create some lore on the subject?

He is depicted as terrifying mist.

Imagine future people finding cave paintings.

"Huh... looks like the night sky."

"No dummy, its the MIST OF INSANITY"

"..."

"RAEG! RAEG!"

"You're insane."

Siri appears in Four distinct guises, depending on her choice.

The first is the child, with the appearance of an 8 year old girl
The Second is the Maiden, with the appearance of a 16 year old girl
The third is the Mother, with the appearance of a stately woman in her 30s.
the Last is the Grandmother, appearing as a hunchbacked and wizened old woman.

In each of her aspects, some distinctive features appear: Long Red Hair (except for the Grandmother, where it is white,) Green Eyes, and a well woven white robe. She is usually accompanied by a a retinue of Ravens, who protect her and act as her messenger.

I don't mind at all. :)

Sirin: God of Pain, war, disease, murder and famine. Twin of Siri
Sirin is large man with impenetrable armor. His helmet is fashioned to look like an enlarged skull of a demon defeated a long time ago(black in colour) with boar tusks on either side. His eyes, through his helmet shine like fire and large spikes protrude from his shoulders. He is fully mailed in black full-plate armor. His swords is once that does not kill, but slowly drains the life from his opponent. In his other hand, he holds a box. In the box named Sirin's box are; disease, plague, famine, and terror. Ready to be loosed on the world at his very whim.

The idea is: make him look evil and kick***. Sirin's box and hand and a half sword are a must.
General Concept, Just a bit different.
