Same here - patch B, no events. Also, entering the Ring of Cancer didn't spawn Brigit for me - the placeholder unit was there, and disappeared after, but no angel of flaming vengeance for me.
 
Playing Malakim, patch 0.23c. It seems my workers cannot build many improvements at all using bottom menu commands. At least camp and pasture improvements are somehow inactive and you cannot choose them by mouse commands. However, using hot-keys (H and shift-P respectively) seems to work.
 
Sounds like an issue with your FfH install.
Hah, well, I checked it out and reinstalled FfHII and Orbis (in that order) and -bam- it worked. I feel kind of silly now, but thanks for pointing out my foolishness.

I just want to reiterate the problem I have with setting options. Apparently, the ones you check are not necessarily the ones you get.

I wouldn't mind editing a file as a workaround, but I need to know which file to edit. Changing the defaults in GameOptions does not seem to matter.
 
I think this is because unique features have 90% chance of appearing in Orbis. Maybe it's only 10% in FfH.

I wondered about this. Do you know where this chance is set? I'd prefer to knock it down some, maybe to 50%, in my games. Seems like it shouldn't be that hard to do.

Orbis/Assets/XML/GlobalDefinesAlt.xml

Search "unique" and you will find "IMPROVEMENT_UNIQUE_CHANCE" or something. There should be "90" below. Change to whatever number you want between 0 and 100 ;)

Personally, I don't care about this as I always play with the All Unique Improvements option :)
 
I usually play with "all improvements" too, but if you're playing on a smaller map, it gets a little ridiculous - every other tile is a "unique" improvement. ;)

Yeah, very true :lol: I play on standard maps and it's okay, although it should certainly be better with Large map :)
 
I'm having trouble continuing in my current game. I keep getting repeatable crash to desktops, restoring back a couple turns and playing slightly differently, the proceeding. But the same thing will happen a few turns later. They're odd crashes, though, not regular CTDs. I hit end turn and the game just freezes. The music plays normally, and the cursor spinning globe keeps spinning, but I have to end the game in task manager to get out. Can somebody load it and hit end turn and let me know if it works for them? Because of the strange lockup I'm wondering if it isn't some kind of graphic or audio incompatibility on my end.

If it isn't, it's a repeatable crash. Never had repeatable crashes this late in the game (it's turn 310).

Alright, this is starting to feel pretty stable, I haven't spotted any debilitating bugs. The only thing I've spotted is when I'm playing with Illians and I have Apprenticeship, workers and settlers start with 2 exp. This was caused by me visiting Letum Frigus and getting the Aggressive trait, there weren't any worker and settler experience points before that.

I dunno, all my workers and settlers start with 2 xp when I'm running Apprenticeship regardless of my civics. The blue glow I can never get rid of is kind of annoying. Sometimes in the late game I delete them and build new ones without the XP since I am not running apprenticeship anymore.

I've had that a couple of times too.
 
I can note that I am also having a problem with my workers. I can not select the icon with the mouse, but can use the hot-key to select the task.

I'm also having this problem, and I am using patch C. The problem only developed after I had quit the game and then loaded it again later.

I have tried to, but you did not even post what version it is, and it is definetly not 0.23 C so I can't use it to find bugs (not going to look for problems I might already fixed in C, sorry)

Something is wrong with canbuild python it seems. I will take a look.

I will repeat some of the guidelines I want you to follow:
I prefer current version bugs only. I think it is quite obvious why - I do not have time to look through every possible game version... So, at least post a version number, but I do not guarantee I will look into old files.

If you have a repeteable problem or something strange happens, please post a save. It is a small file, and I can do some serious digging to find what exactly is wrong
Oh, also - even without "all features" selected, it seems that all features are always on my maps.
I have increased appereance chance for unique features, but you should not get all of them on small maps.

I checked it and although I did not look into every gameoption, all I checked worked fine for me. What game version do you use? Did you try a complete reinstall and starting play now game before using custom one again?

I am aware of it, and it seems linked to some promotions affecting units without combat type - i.e. illians on snow (whiteout) and nox noctis (shrouded) The above one is hard to nail down (save please?). I guess it is just how the mechanics works and I am going to add worker experience and promotions anyway. Then, it will be a minor problem only as all other nounitcombat unit types should be temporary only.
 
With 0.23 C the game is much more stable. I was able to play 400 turns without a crash. Nice work!

However, it appears that blight hit three times in the span of about 20 turns. (I got the death graphic on all units and unhealthyness skyrocketed.) It appeared that it was reoccurring every time the AC crossed 30 -- it was going up and down quite rapidly at the time.

And, yes, the worker button problem, too. I got to know the worker hotkeys quite well that game. Exiting Orbis completely, then relaunching and reloading would fix the worker buttons for a time, but something causes them to stop working after a while.
