First bug report ;> You can't select Dao or Palatinate on Custom Game screen... though you can select one of their leaders and than civ is selected automatic.

EDIT: Actually, you can select them only for first slot.

Actually, you can select them for human player.
Forgot to enable them for the AI...
Give me a moment to update the quickfix

Installation instructions si vous plait?
1. Download
2. Install
3. If you want soundtrack, install it (but the installation order does not really matter). You want it even if not using it, as otherwise it displays from time to time "file not found" ;)

That is all. No FfH needed at all. If your BtS is updated to 3.19, you are fine.

I guess I should have specified but since it was so soon after your post I didn't think I needed to.

I meant the dao zip file. Where does that assets file go?
 
Just unpack it to mod folder (BtS/Mods/orbis or wherever you have installed it).
Two files should be replaced. I have fixed Kalina's problem, too.

If you are asked only about one file, please download it again.

Tried it with two downloads just now and both times only got the prompt to overwrite once.
 
Should be two files.
Or three now, as I did some more adjustments to elementals. Please redownload.

Anyway, if you can set ai to play Dao, and after using the most recent version, earth elementals can climb peaks, then all is fine.
 
Weird one - after leaving WB I have whole map revealed (tiles are marked as not revealed). I just see whole map.

Other than that, maybe it's just me but Orbis is running very unstable - can't move unit (Bannor), can't end turn (Bannor, Amurietes). Game just crashes to desktop without any message (even standard windows one).

EDIT: Happens with other civs as well... something must be wrong with mine game, as KrugSmash was able to play 20 turns. Tried old version and it runs ok. I can move scout but can't move settler.

EDIT 2: I'm missing icons in lower part of the screen (build city and so on) so something is wrong with my install, but I have no idea what :/
 
Welp, my first game as the dao has now ended, on about turn 20, and here's what I got;

When a melee unit garrisons a fort, they gain 1 ranged attack, but no ability to use ranged attacks.

the Dao leader Rualon gives a text_key_popup when she dies.

The whirlwind graphic on the Air Shrine, and fireball on Fire Shrine, moves all over the place when you move the camera around and aren't fixed in the center of it.
 
Playing as Dao;
Turn 21
Dao Scout explores a barrows/ruins (whichever one has the skull/crossbones on the stones)
"Explore Lair" text appears
No result text appears, but scout gains Adventurer promotion
End turn, CTD.

I deleted my Orbis folder before installing 1.00, and I'm also using the hotfix. Hope this helps.
 
Can't get a single game to run. I was playing the last current version of Orbis patched up. After installing this version and updating with Dao patch it crash right away. I've tried...

Maps: MountainCoast, ErebusContinents, Big & Small.

Tried several options including eliminating all new civs in the start up. Tried Dao, then Decius as Malakim. Set AI leaders to minor leaders all.

Game crashes when settler founds city or before. When as Dao crashed at map load.

I am patched up to latest FfH2 and 3.19.

I was still getting late game crashes consistently (but at different spots) with Orbis and a few with FfH2. I never upload saves as i usually play on Huge maps. Maybe i need to just reinstall everything?

Do you have icons in lower part of the screen ? For example, build city icon when settler is selected ?
 
Nope no icons. When i hit 'b' to build city game crashes. Game also crashes if settler moves but not if any other unit moves.
 
Got a minor error when I was building the magic (rather then alch) guild and spreading it: it called for music that was called, I believe, /anonymoussantamaria. Message passed by pretty quick due to some iron spam, though.

Was I hearing a bit of Planescape: Torment music in there? I didn't catch Deionarra theme or the Smothering Corpse, though, which I still think are the two best pieces. :lol:
 
The description icon for unit ist on wrong place. Furthermore everytime I try to move the startingsettler or the warrior I get a crash to desktop.
 
Bug Report

Deleted old installation and installed 1.0, then the Dao.zip quickfix. Selected the Play Now! option.

Seems like an old ghost is haunting you again Ahwaric. The game crashes to desktop as a unit initiates a move to a new tile. Oddly enough it's a bit random. I managed to move a scout twice before it crashed on the third turn. I remember this happening in one of the very early versions as well.

Graphics loads alright, and everything looks solid. Sound issue perhaps? Is the unit trying to initiate an "affirmative" soundbyte that's not there? Very smooth quick crash so it seems likely that a file is "missing". This bug is likely caused by the quickfix, or maybe you uploaded a work copy, since you would have noticed this bug during last phase testing.

Stats: Epic game, Tectonics map, Media pack not installed, Orbis Sound Track not installed.

Replicated the bug with all civs now. Makes A Golden Dragons report of no bugs encountered very confusing. Corrupted download to blame? Or corrupted installation?

Will return later after some more tests.
 
Additional tests shows that the quickfix is not to blame. The "crash at move" is still there in base 1.0. Still random, sometimes a unit can move and sometimes it crashes. Since unit sound bytes are random I would suspect that. Will re-download 1.0 to make sure it wasn't corrupted in transit.
