PAE V Patch 4

The official Patch 4 for PAE is available very soon....
I just got a new laptop over the holidays, and I finally got everything up & running with Civ IV and BTS installed and updated. Any idea when the final Patch 4 will be released? I'm wondering if I should grab the beta, or wait until I can get the official final version? :) Thanks!

:)... oh man.. time goes by...

grap the BETA please... it's so hard to come to an end... I'm having too much fun programming to the last detail...

Is anybody using the 4.16 patch version on Mac? I'm hoping the official version will be Mac playable, but was wondering if any of you guys was using it already on Mac?

It is. But wait some days, I am on a new patch 4.16b with lots of practical issues.
and yes, it is MAC compatible unless you want to use the 40Civs.dll ;)

Today, I will upload the official 4.16 UPDATE!

With lots of improvements in GUI (for special units), an improved cultivation, a new govenor unit for your cities and the ranking system for legionaries.

... and everything seems to work after testing.

It's done!
After 3 years of development and the last official Patch 3 in 2015, you can now play the final patch 4 for PAE V.
Download link is in the first post! You'll love it! Guaranteed!

Patch 4.16 Bugfixes

Are Sea Peoples supposed to be fixed in this release? I'm playing the Eastern Med scenario where in patch 3 Sea People attacks were particularly numerous and vicious. and they don't appear to be working right. With the first patch 4 release the ships would approach land but never land troops. Now they don't even approach land they just sail past. It's a bit reminiscent of the way barbarian land units sometimes just move through your territory rather then attacking.

As well as placing a governor you can also replace him. Can there be a benefit from doing that?

Also, a question about beer. Is there a window during which you can get the beer event, or is it possible any time? Usually I get it early but sometimes I never get it and it seems if it doesn't come early it doesn't come at all. Maybe that's just my imagination.

Governor: there's a bug too, where a governor only gives one bonus (and not all of them)! So you can choose which governor would be best for your city.

Beer event: you'll get it, when you have a farm on a grain resource. In the XML trigger infos, I couldn't find a time limitation.

I am sorry, I was on vacation in Greece... I had no time to upload a bug fix yet.

I will soon update a patch 5, so please be patient if you find a bug in :
-) the new govenor bonus
-) the new Trade feature
-) cultural leader
-) war camp

It's done!

You will now find a patch 4 bugfix in the download thread!

Lots of bugfixes (even for multiplaying), everything seems to work fine now.

You'll find the change list in the download thread too.
(recently @ work)

I've had two reproducible spinning globe crashes since installing the latest bugfix (I was using the previous patch 4 bugfix release without any issues). This was on the 26 civ scenario I was working on so the problem might be in there, but I'm uploading the save in case it's related to the crashes reported in the dev forum.

I've also had 2 spinnning globe crashes in 2 different games which prevent me from continuing those games. Both on epic speed, on different maps, one on turn 243 and the other somewhere around 315

Yes, I could locate the problem in the Trade feature. either doSellBonus() or doBuyBonus() or both do something wrong. stay tuned.

yes I did notice that on my second crash, in the notifications it said that the phoenicians had traded with one of my cities (first time I ever witnessed such trade with the new mechanics)
