Paper or Plastic?

Me too! We even store them in the same place!

Our plastic bags are too under the sink! :woohoo:

I have absolutely no proof, but a greenpeace guy the came over to my place (for propaganda) told me that paper bags were creating a lot more pollution then plastic bag, if we take everything into account. (energy required in production, trees needed, the fact that less then 25% of recycled paper is really recycled...) So now I choose plastic, and use them as lunch bag during the week.

That is true, I just read it from a newspaper couple of days ago. Paper bags are worse than plastic bags IF the plastic bag is reused several times(I don't know how many).

I dunno. Plastic is a waste of oil but paper literally kills tree's.

I need to get a cloth shopping bag.

Apparently you also have to watch out for Nylon bags, one Nylon bag is the equivalent of several thousands plastic bags.

Sorry for the lack of factualness, this also came from that greenpeace guy.

Plastic, because I find it hilarious that people actually say that they want to "save a tree" by not taking a plastic bag.

I don't have a choice in the matter at any of the local stores. It's always plastic out here.

Plastic, 'cause they double as trash bags. And plus that's generally the only choice available anyway.

rubber

wet things soak through paper and plastic will break to easy and we all dont want that now do we ;)

I usually only buy a few things each trip, so my courier bag. I even get a 6 cent discount for it!

If I have to use their bags, paper if possible.

I use my hands and carry my stuff. I buy two or three things at a time.

How are you supposed to get aforementioned rubber?

Both. They never ask, so I have to steal the paper ones, but the plastic bags I use later for trash and crap (literally) and paper is good for putting the paper in for recycling. I should do my part in saving the world by buying a bag though, but I would look gay.
I am cool.

Actually plastic might be a bit better than paper as it leaves some carbon in the landfills, but cloth is by far the best.
