Word on the street is that HOI3 isn't really in a worth-playing state yet; next time I get a WW2 itch to scratch I guess it'll be some HOI2 variant (maybe try out Arsenal of Democracy which was one of the huge bunch of games in the pre-Christmas sale bundle from Steam).

From the looks of it, we're the few who still play. All my friends have purchased HOI3, and even the HOI2 Paradox forums seems dead. So for the sake of multiplayer I'm going to have to purchase it sometime soon. Maybe after they release the new expansion.

HoI3 with SF is all right, although supplies are still hilariously buggy.

There's a new expansion pack that's been announced for this year though.

EU3 tutorial just covers the basic interface, nothing more. The best way to learn any Paradox game is just to play the game and learn from your mistakes.

Yeah, Paradox didn't get a working tutorial until HoI3 and V2 came out.

Yes. Start with a relatively easy country (like Castile), and gradually explore the game. There are a lot of informative tooltips in the game to tell you what consequences your actions will have (just hover your mouse over any icon).

The only thing you're missing is a brilliant example of how little Paradox cares about their tutorials - one of the expansions (IN I believe) changed the map around and a province involved in the tutorial no longer exists. 'course, that doesn't stop it telling you to move their and hence rendering the whole thing unfinishable

I have vanilla and played it all of 2 hours at most But I remember someone waiting for a special.
