PBEM Playtest of AWAW

The Russians have no business what-so-ever in Beirut. And there are no middle eastern front anymore. The war has been brought to the Italian mainland. Had they only had a valid explanation for their military presence there rather than playing stupid:

Comrade Schukow is not aware of ANY Soviet units operating in this area

The photo ecidence is undebateable.

Remove the inf division, for the sake of our military alliance.

Soviet Ambassador:

As much as Marshall Schukow praises the wise words of Commander Patton he despises the untrue socalled British "Photo Evidence":

"As these newly taken reconnaissance photos clearly show, there are NO Soviet units in the vicinity of Beirut. The British commander are either feeling scared by local tripes or making up excuses for weakening the alliance. Soviet troops, whereever they are, will hold their positions, and not take orders from any foreign general!"

@BKA:
Are you serious now, or is this just a part of the game propaganda? :confused: Are we playing the same game??

@Josef Stalin:
So if they aren't under Soviet control, General Zhukov have no problems with the British forces eliminating those 'deserters' outside Beirut?

"The American commander asks that British and Soviet diplomats will straighten out this issue of misunderstanding in the foreseeable future. Clearly, the British have nothing to fear from her Russian allies, whether there are troops in the vicinity of Beirut or not. It would be absurd to shake the confidence in the alliance over such a trivial matter." So said the American spokesman.

When someone has something to hide, they lie. Thus my suspicious mind towards the Soviets, as we have crystal clear evidence that they are in the fields outside Beirut, stealing resources from the city.

I'll repeat the message already sent.

The British perception of an alliance is mutual honesty.

Soviet Ambassador

In the light of the recent days past events, our glorious Marshall Schukow has decided to schedule a visit to the heroic Soviet troops at our southern border. While visiting Schukow will personally inspect the positions of the troops operating in area. If any are outside their ordered positions, they will be reallocated.

We hope that this gesture to stopping this debacle will be noticed in our alliance, and that the British will follow our example.

We have now received the final player in the new PBEM game. So if you all are ready, I think that it is up to Morten to start the game. :) (it's also your turn in this scenario Morten, in case that you have forgotten it ;) )

:o :p

It must be all this fuss at our Southern borders that has brought me off balance. :D I will play my turn tonight.

Soviet News

JAPANESE MAINLAND INVADED!

Today the Japanese city of Sapporo fell to the Soviet army. This attack is a gesture to our American allied for battling the enemy at sea and thereby strenghtening the common Allied wareffort.

With the war now brought onto their own soil, the common Japanese begins to question the future of their empire. Will the war be over soon, and will our new masters be Russian?

In other news, the province of Korea also fell to Soviet forces earlier today.

Ahh bugger... was anyone actually guarding it? When I allways start my turn I allways find my defending units just high-tailed it south even with Ctrl-N and full ended turns .

I have the same problems, but i had hoped that ctrl-N would have helped.

There where two units outside of the city and two units inside, all of them Homeguards Divisions.
