Rock on Eivind. Your scenarios have always been favorites of mine.

Japan subsidises state-controlled domestic reforms the Soviet state of Japan is slowley becomeing into being the hard-line nationlistic goverment being replaced with a more worker oreinted party. All in all a peaceful month, an envoy from Moscow is set to arrive next month.

Today, victorious US marines invaded the Japanese homeland. In the first landing, all cities of the northern part of Japan, including Kyoto, was bombarded by the US navy, and 4 cities was secured under US control with minimal US casualties, by a overwhelming force of marines, paratroopers, and engineers. Sapporo, Sendai, Niigata and Mito are now under US control. US marines have now secured the perimeters of these cities, and re-constructed the Armor units and Anti Aircraft defenses brought with them from the US homeland.

In other news, a japanese bomber was cleared from the Aerial space north of Japan, during the course of the campaign so far.

The US administration congratulates our British allies with the progress made in Europe. The victories in France hail the destruction of the Nazi regime within the year. The US command also wishes to thank our Allies for their speedy support in Mediterrenean waters. British aerial support saved the lives of thousands of US marines off the coast of France. Marseilles will soon fall to the American spearhead.

The Soviet Union officially condemns American action against the Japanese homeland. The Sovet Union reaquest reparations in form of technology to compensate the attack on our sattelite state. This will also strengthen the overall battle in Europe, where the Soviet armies are drawing most of the German forces.

The Soviet ambassador was sent home with empty hands. "We will not bow to Soviet imperialism - however, the Soviets are welcome at the table, when we plan further details of our European campaign - and of course, we might add - the US administration will be most helpful in sharing the latest knowhow in American hardware - in the light of Soviet sacrifices in the name of freedom, on the eastern front."

Japense goverment collaspes as news of Lord Boli's death fills the streets. It is rumoured he took his own like after finding out the uncivilizated American airforce bombed the emporer's palace in Kyoto and he could not longer bare the shame.

Thankfully the emporer was unhurt if shaken but the only order on the japaense mainlands is in the imperial grounds as the Imperial gaurd protect the emeporer from further harm as the country slowely disolves into anarchy.

I know the score and the stats shown arn't corerctly accurate excluding torpedoes I'm down to 5 cities of worth (was 8) with 13 units. Time to bow out I'm afraid. The password is removed so the AI will take over my turn to represent the anarchy.

I'll still play the other senerio but my time has been played out in this one.

Thank you for playing along in this one Boli. I think it has been a great game. :)

I've certainly enjoyed playing with you. I hope I'll get the honour to play another game with you soon :) .

Kobe and Kyoto conquered by the American juggernaut. Several ships sunk outside Kyoto and airplanes destroyed. Reporters note one strange incident, when US marines were marching into Kyoto, the Soviet national anthem was played from loudspeakers outside the Imperial Palace.

Thank you for playing, Boli - it's been a lot of fun - especially nerve-wrecking, wary of past encounters, as the US invasion-force approached japanese waters - known to be deadly. I still didn't know what you'd been up to in the meantime.

If you had timed your earlier invasion attempt on the west coast and attacked me out of the blue, you could've taken me quite by surprise. My pacific fleet were more on its knees, than you would ever know. A few bombers and infantry could have conquered the poorly protected cities of Los Angeles and San Francisco, and this game would have been completely different.

One other thing :

Bo, when I conquered Kyoto, my prestige only increased with 4 - whats up with that?? - just about the largest amphibious campaign in this game yet - and worth 4 prestige?? - I suggest an event that increases the prestige significantly by the capture of capitals. The concept of prestige is a nice idea, but corresponds little to the effort made by commanders in winning their campaigns. Their prestige should increase as the wind of the war turns, not decrease.
