My bad. Arabia is hidden in and after my post. But someone kills Iroquois already. Thus you have to downvote someone else.

I see. Then here is my new down-vote:

Arabia -22
Assyria - 16
Austria - 8
Aztec -21
Brazil - 22
Byzantium - 17
Carthage - 19 - I call it "the boring version of Carthage's war theme". Without the fast pace of the war theme it sounds monotonous.

+ This was the very first track I listened to thanks to the internet, just days before I bought Civ 5. I found it AMAZING, because I was fully expecting a dull and simple instrumentation like the one in Civ 4. But this piece delighted me with its calm, beautiful vocals and use of sitar. I still love it.

- The cinema has given us a wrong idea about Egypt's music, which is always shown with an arabic feel. I also know that we have very few fragments of actual ancient egyptian music. But, taken all this into consideration, I still think this piece is underwhelming. It's very chaotic and doesn't really know what to show: magnificence? Peace? Maybe "confusion" should be the right word.

+ I played as Alex for the first time a week ago. I had never listened to his theme more than one minute, so it was a surprise to listen to it in its entirety. It's a very uplifting, beautiful little melody, with a sense of adventure to it. And I also love the way it repeats the same notes in the end, in a very subtle tone. It's like the end of a good movie.

- Bye bye to Boudicca's track. I think we were expecting something more "celtic" -maybe not as new age-ish as the one in Civ IV, but with a little more of uilleann pipes. Anyway, there are some many good tracks left that I wonder what will be the next to be eliminated, apart from Egypt, Austria and Korea.

+ The first time I listened to Indonesia's great theme I thought: "Minimalism!". It turned out te be like that, as Geoff Knorr said in his website: he tried to mix Western minimalism with gamelans. The result is unique: heroic, inspiring and thoroughly enjoyable.

- I LOVE Shaka's war theme: it's one of its kind. The peace version isn't as good, however. It starts cheerfully, but soon it becomes so pompous that is unbearable. The chours are unnecesarilly shouting in the end and the orchestra emphasizes the same notes. The results are anything but great.

Whatever happened to this thread? It was starting to narrow down. Anyways, here's my vote.

Best peace theme... Wow. Lots of difficult choices. As of now, my top three are Sweden, Poland, and the Dutch. Sweden does not seem to be struggling at all, and I think that Poland's theme ends just a little too strong, so my vote goes to the Dutch.

And the worst... The Egyptian theme. I just don't find it as interesting some of the others. Somebody cut it next round.

Carthage's peace theme is as disgusting as the rest of Carthage.

Indonesia's theme makes me feel like I'm really in Indonesia. Sort of. :crazyeye:
