Well it looks like the lonely guy managed to subdue Isabella and Hannibal. Only some battleships annoying us especially the one at Rome. We have three destroyers protecting our crab at Rome and Isabellas battleship attacks and takes out one of them. After looking her battleship doesnt even take a bit of a hit and is at full strength. So no counterattack. Start to move a battleship/destroyer from Seoul to intercept but in the meantime she proves to be a considerable pain with that one battleship.
I continue mostly with military builds such as gunships/artillery/tanks and my favourite bombers. Bombers are great for weakening battleships on your coast however none were in the vicinity and mostly near the battlefront. I did move a bomber back to Pisae to damage that battleship pestering us. The same battleship manages to take out another destroyer and still cant counterattack as she promoted it to combat III and down to 30 strength which made the odds for destroyer too much in her favour. The bomber and battleship will be available in the next turn and do manage to remove that ship once and for all. Unfortunately she takes out the third destroyer which was somewhat injured and smoked on not moving it into Rome.
Battlefront
Since General Greyfox took out most of the advancing forces it is now time to advance ourselves. We still have a decent army to assemble and head after the Carthaginian city and proceed to Coventry as well. We gather enough forces to begin our assault on the English and to quiet her once and for all.
1914
With some ease we take Sabratha only loosing one artillery in the process. (which wont be an issue once we gather enough bombers in the area to remove defenses and weaken defenders.)
1915
With the aid of bombers we take out the defenses at Coventry, weaken defenders and take it with the loss of two tanks. ARGH both were at 90% odds. Nonetheless we keep pounding the English and scout out London for our next attack and see that Izzy has some tanks and infantry there as well as a settler. Boy the AI just loves to find that open spot and settle.
We are experiencing WW big time and feel that fission is a smoke but went with it for now until I realized its better to have fascism for Mt. Rushmore to quiet our citizens somewhat. Eventually I do switch but try to get it from our so-called friends who are pressed too hard.
Catherine proposes this deal and gladly accept:
1919
We scout out London again and see that Isabella forces disappeared? Good enough it aids to take London fairly easily without any losses this time. We are gathering a nice force of bombers and removed the defenses/weakened defenders with the bombers. Artillery is so useless at this point on the advance since they move too slow.
Vicky does go to the trouble of landing some troops next to Sabratha which are taken out after taking London.
We do see Izzys forces south of London and looked like she was heading for Pyongyang but turned back to rescue her vassal. We use the bombers to weaken those puppies and take them all out. Heres a bit of good news though:
This is where Izzy had her forces which are no longer.
1922
We continue to hammer England but good and now take Warwick again with no losses. We did loose a bomber.
We check with Vicky to see what she has to offer and she offers this:
I decide that we should get her off the mainland and leave her with that island and having only two turns left on Fascism feel its an empty deal.
This is all she has left in Canterbury so taking it will help us use it for launching a naval campaign against Hannibal if we can get some battleships/destroyers and transports there. The land route is just too long and we will be subjected to Isabellas forces should we go that route.
1924
Canterbury falls and Vicky is off the mainland left on island to go haunt somebody else.
Check with Vicky and she offers this deal. I try to get Communism but she wont give any tech and feel we need to deal with WW so accept the capitulation and hope she uses all those ships to annoy Isabella.
The majority of our forces are sitting in Warwick and we need to see how we are going to attack Hannibal. I would prefer a naval landing since that would make our troops less vulnerable to attacks from Isabella on the way to Hannibals cities. In addition there are forces gathering at Dacca which can join whatever forces we choose to move out to Carthage. Be careful about declaring on Hatty/HC as we have a lot of deals with them and some are luxury items which would be costly to us. So joining Cathy is this war is not wise and should continue to go after Izzy/Hannibal. Hannibal isnt that big and should be easy to subdue but traversing through Russia/Arabia isnt the best way and again a naval landing would be much better. We have some naval forces and would only need transports. Getting some ships to the former England would help us get rid of the ships from Hannibal/Izzy. Vicky did take out some of their ships but seems now to have exhausted what she has. When we took Canterbury she lost two battleships and two transports as well.
Cathy hasnt built anything else and this is the status so far:
There is no reason why we should give into her finishing it and I wish hadnt started fission as communism would be better to get the spies and slow her down. Although we simply dont have the economy to do anything about it. But even having state property would be much better. Again I went along with Fission because thats what Greyfox left there but imo not the best choice since we could use fascism/communism much better right now. We do have Fascism and Mt. Rushmore has been started which will be done in 12 turns. The picture didnt take for Fascism although we all know what it looks like.
So its just the three stooges now, Frankcor/Cosmic/Greyfox. I referred to Greyfox as the steady flame as in a lot of games hes there until the bitter end. SGOTM02 is a great example.
I did play 15 turns since there are only three of us left and wanted to finish off England so that the next player could focus on Izzy/Hannibal.
Good luck Frank.
