Yeah that was the context, but in the hypothetical he presented he said you should just "fire a couple blasts out your door" to scare an intruder away. Which is terrible advice no matter the context because if you are going to shoot, you should always be aware of what you are shooting at.
Only when Hunter had an important job interview.Did Biden ever hold a gun in his hands ???
Big picture. The two men couldn't be more opposite inside the same party. Rightwing Democrats have done serious damage to the country on par with a lot of what Trump has done. A charismatic Democrat willing to cede things to the right to appear to get things done is way more dangerous than an orange buffoon who can't get his approval ratings over 50%.Saying you'd vote for one dem and not the other in an election against Trump is offering direct and literal support to his campaign to divide his opponents, and thus to extend his stay in office.
Have you not noticed how getting people to keep saying stuff like that is a plank of his strategy, or do you just not care how much more hatred and misery will result if it works?

Bill Clinton for example. He got NAFTA, something GHWB wanted, through while every single Democrat in MI, OH, PA and WI voted against it. That trade deal devastated the region. He helped Biden pass the gross crime bill most realize (except of course for Biden) was a mistake. He undid parts of the new deal even Reagan couldn't get like Glass Steagal and welfare "reform" (code word for cuts). The telecommunications act repealed the fairness doctrine that allowed outlets like Fox to exist. It also repealed a lot of media antitrust laws that has led to a gross consolidation of news media. The most egregious of those consolidations is Sinclair's takeover of local tv stations that has put rightwing propaganda on trusted local news. Clinton did all this while riding the tech boom so people think he was great.
Then Obama, the hope and change guy. He had an "all of the above" energy strategy that greatly increased US oil production. He never opposed fracking and opened up the Arctic to drilling. This peace prize winner waged multiple shadow wars while never actually ending the ones he promised to end. He did the troop shuffling trick Trump does to pretend he was ramping things down. There was also the proposed "grand bargain" where he offered a social security cut to Republicans, fortunately they were so greedy that the deal wasn't good enough and fell through. He also tried to push another rotten trade deal through that, thankfully, Lord Cheeto saved us from. When my Republican friends started spouting conspiracy theories about Obama bussing in illegals I had to remind them that Obama deported more immigrants than Bush like it was a good thing. That kinda makes me sick.
It takes a charismatic Democrat to put the left to sleep and get the really ****** stuff done. Trump gets pushback where Biden won't. Biden's been there with Clinton and Obama all along. The Senator from MBNA, that's what they used to call him. I'll make a prediction, if Biden wins, at some point Congress will go majority red. Then he will offer some deal freezing Social Security cost of living increases and raising the retirement age in order to get some small token legislation passed. We wont feel the pain at first but over the next decade senior poverty will skyrocket.
Doesn't matter who wins between the two. We still lose. People keep saying "oh Bernie can't deliver on all those promises..." I say, "fine, at least he wont do anything truly ******." Jersey wearing is stupid.
Very good post. People constantly give Clinton and Obama passes since the economy was doing well/recovered and they weren't their republican predecessors but yes, they both did a lot of damage. Crap man, I can't really think of the last president who didn't make some serious mistakes, at least not in my lifetime since I was born during Reagan.
Interesting quote from a political observer:
"Trump and his surrogates have done everything they can to stoke the unproven conspiracy theory that the Democratic establishment has somehow conspired against Sanders to keep him from the nomination. And within the last few days, Trump's forces have begun to work overtime to suggest that Biden isn't mentally up to the race for president. None of that is a coincidence."
Do we have sufficient evidence to distinguish our own "strong leftists" from Trumpists?

Can you please name this observer, so we don't have an issue - like the Cape Town movie reviewer one that you instigated criticism of against me when I couldn't produce the source?

You'd have saved time by just posting 'Trump 2020'.
So transparent.
(Note to anyone who doubts that the above is just Trumpist propaganda:
If Biden gets the nom, then Bernie's going to back him against Trump. As will AOC and all the other left-wing democrats.
And they will do so because they are smart, decent people who actually believe in the goals they preach.
Do not listen to those who are attempting to poison the well. They're just Trump supporters in disguise.)

"Don't listen to opinions I don't like and other conspiracy theories, listen to my conspiracy theories instead".
thanks for the laugh, those aren't always easy to come by in political threads.
The two people you have accused of being Trump supporters are actually not Trump supporters in any way, shape, it form.
