[Extension] [POLL] More Wonders for VP

What is your opinion on Flavoured Help Texts unique for More Wonders mod?

  • I like them and I use them every game

  • I use them from time to time to check how they perform

  • I use them only to give some feedback to the author

  • I prefer original version, but I don't mind them

  • I prefer original version, but I played with them few times

  • I don't like them in their current state, but I think they can be improved

  • I don't like them and disable them every game

I use ready database function: Building_ClassesNeededInCity. It has an exception built in, to check for the uniques, too. Please, check other similar wonders and unique buldings and make sure you can't build any wonder of that kind, and if the problem persists, post an issue on VP github, and link for that issue here in this thread for my information.

What is your mod load order? If MW loads before MUC, then it also may be the culprit, but I'm not 100% sure.

Added 3 new possible choices in the EE poll inspired by World Wonders Pack 256 by @Artisanix:

  • Modlin Fortress (Poland) (1806) tied to EE-Fortifications

Depends on player.

I recently fixed WW blocking mechanic, so you can disable wonders you don't like or don't wanna see. I just give you variety.

I also increased the stacking cost of WW, if you have built some already, so next will be much more expensive than it was in base VP. This shoul lower the wonder spam significantly.

I just found two mods adding total of 384 wonders. Such an amount is tremendous and author didn't try to save the balance. I wanted to catch few of them (art is ready, but I avoided castles, religious buildings, etc.) and apply to MW.

Well, if I install MWfVP all is fine, but after editing the requirements file seems mod is not loading
Maybe you get an error in database.log? What do you change?
 
Can you post logs and screenshot of your change?
 
@gwennog You probably play on hard reqs. Everything fine?
 
Does anyone feel that particular wonder needs buff or nerf? Now it's good time to suggest such cases.

Yes, play actually with the last version in hard, with woman voice and Limitation Era, no problem.

Increasing the cost is a very good choice on your part, now you have to think more because you can't really build everything, even with the right locations.
Maybe a little too hard for the first ages but I wait a little longer before deciding.

You know, I can change 50/35/20% modifiers to 40/35/30. For those players who have lots of Wonders from various eras it shouldn't be the any difference, but at the beginning it will be easier to build at least 2 early WWs. Now it punish the most players who built a Wonder from current Era.
I change "1" to "2" for hard in reqs
Did you resolve your problem? @gwennog says, and I also checked that, everything works fine, so it must be smth on your end.

It seems a good solution, not too much difference in advanced eras because most likely the player will have wonders of different eras but a little more possibility at the beginning :thumbsup:.
