Here's my Marathas campaign.

You my notice a few strange occurances on the map. That is the United States in England, (I donated them the land to get good relations and trade rights,) the Plains Nations are indeed in Ceylon and Spain does have a foothold in northern India. I donated them the land in India but they have captured Baluchistan themselves. I want to 'liberate' all the colonies in the game, by destroying France, Britain and Spain and see what emergent factions appear because of it. The US has appeared so far after destroying Britain, but I'm hoping to see Texas, Brazil, Mexico and Quebec soon too.

I think the Far Eastern territories in RTW are quite large as well (RTR and EB). The ones in Russia are pretty big also.

The vanilla RTW map sucks, same with Rome. But at that time there were far far less people.

The eastern territories wereb etter in RTW than Empires though.

I see your Marathas Empire, Salty, and I crush it with German precision:

At home, we protect the Fatherland while eyeing up Alcase-Lorraine.

But, due to the British being so predictable (must protect lesser-nations we have a treaty with then refuse to surrender when they go under), we're engaged in a war with them. Their fleets are destroyed, we have captured all their trading posts, and Britain itself is suffering a total blockade.

Playing as the Russians. I downloaded some mods that switched the Republic flag for Russia to the Soviet Union. So after a bloody revolution and much marching, I fulfilled the campaign requirements.

I'd recommend it! It may be bugged to hell but it's still a great game to play.

The Bala Hissar is just outside Kabul. Unless that's supposed to be Jallalabad, which is even worse.

The fortress. Bala Hisar is a fort at Peshawar in RL. Yes, Cheezy is complaining about the location of a fortress that was probably not there at gamestart.

Do you get to place those things on the map? I assumed they were already predetermined to be there, you just got to "build" them.

Just like any Total War game, you can put a fort anywhere. Starts out as a wooden fort but you can upgrade it to an Artillery Fort and later a Star Fort. There are a few preexisting ones, like Komorn.

Oh, I figured it was a pre-determined place that the fortress for the province was located, since things are decentralized now.
