Pre-GodNES

Nyar will create some grasslands, a small forest, and a very small lake near the southeastern point, and populate it with a tribe of 100 people, and some normal animals.

((If this is too much someone tell me, i don't think it is.))

Fuschia I don’t see how anyone can comment on the ridiculous or silly nature of any god here. Lets examine some gods from OTL if you will and test it against the Manatee and Llama problem.

The Hindu Pantheon has a whole menagerie of animals, an Elephant, a Monkey, an almost infinite array of Demons and Minor Deities.

The Greek and Roman Pantheon had gods who had relations with animals, changed form into animals and were animals during relations with mortals.

Aboriginals honoured a Gigantic Serpent that inhabited another dimension or some such.

I fail to see any justification for the accusation about lack of seriousness, if anything it requires a great deal more thought to rationalize an evil Manatee, let alone thinking of using a Manatee as a god. There is a basis in OTL for having Animal Gods it would seem that all the characteristics associated with the Animal Gods are subjective. I don’t know why Elephants in India are considered wise, why didn’t they choose Tigers? I don’t know why the Inca’s didn’t think to associate Llamas with wisdom or magic? I don’t know why the peoples who came into contact with Manatees didn’t decide to create a Manatee god of Consumption or Greed or Greyness or Sliminess or Grazing. They fulfil all those characteristics, they eat non-stop, are grey, are slimy and do graze that at least would not be to subjective.

The Manatee also represents the ravenous appetites of the great ocean that constantly tries to eat all the islands and "drinks the howling ships". The Manatee does make sense to me; the Llama admittedly doesn't, although the Incans did have an obscure llama god.

Sake! PEOPLE! stop talking start creating!!! Amadea need believers to make statues of her and to love her and to worship her!

I would only be worried if instead of a Llama it was a sheep, then i would be worried about the sanity of its worshippers.

A painting of Manatane

Island%20Fish4.jpg

Note: The Artist was devoured, for making the Manatane look like a Dugong... snubby nose bah!

She could always marry the Manatane, kind of awkward im guessing and well the Manatane's gender is that of Manatee, but it would catch the weird vote im guessing :p

She will marry the god who will give her the most worshipers that will build the most beautiful temple.

Oh, I missed that one in my pic-editing madness! I was about to make this into a god of anger and chaos, but saw Abaddon's.

Oh well, that's a god of renewal and fire. This one's a god of anger and violence and fire. They complement. :D

Different aspects of the same God:p

Zxc are you still taking sign ups? If so

King.jpg

gender: Male.
description: God of Winter and hunting. Once well known in a distant world as the immortal leader of a vast empire and great armies gathered from every corner of the world, untill one day the jealous barbarians of the north launched a suprise attack capturing his hidden temple of Wau. Angered at this treachery Kol left the world, and since he left the stories say, the whole world has frozen under a sheet of unmelting ice.

characteristics: [leave blank, this is what is typical for your god and his/her/its expertise]
-

Although he is generally a benevolent God he has been known to anger, particularly when he thinks others are conspiring against him or that people are losing faith. The general outcome of this is that whole regions are covered under a thick sheet of ice, that'll teach 'em. Small sacrifices often take place in his temples at the beginning of winter, in the hope that He will make it a mild one. Admires humanity for their resourceful-nes, he has been know to defend them when he feels they are in danger.

deer.jpg

creatures:
name: Fenir
description: Great wolves that represent the aspect of revenge. Kol has been know to release the Fenir upon a vaillage that has turned from him, or has taken to worshipping an opposing God. Many tales tell of their ferocity and the death and destruction they have caused in times gone by. However, Kol dislikes the idea of punishing humans for their mistakes, and will only release the hounds, so to speak, when he feels he has no other option.
cost: 6 DI each.

creatures:
name: Winter Hare
description: White hares that roam Kol's realm. Seeing one is suposed to bring good fortune to the faithful. Some say they are used as spies for Kol when he is at his most paranoid, in which case seeing one is, in fact, very bad luck if you are suspected of treachery as they can be a sign of an imminent Fenir attack.
cost: 1 DI each

Yours was the least of the three problems and, although I could certainly counter all of your arguments here, I won't bother as it seems you will be playing seriously.

I still need a lot of convincing that someone playing a Llama god from Llamatopia whose servants are intelligent Llamas will be playing seriously.

And then, of course, the greatest threat is the third complaint. Zamorak is a god from an MMORPG, whose background makes little to no sense here, although that is hardly the worst part of that.

Sake! PEOPLE! stop talking start creating!!! Amadea need believers to make statues of her and to love her and to worship her!

We still need to flesh out how the gods were created, as well as the exact state of the world at the moment. Regardless, creation is pointless until I decide whether or not to switch to a good god to balance out all of the evil in this world.

And I'm still waiting for the mod to answer my earlier questions.

I, Khaza, propose to you, Mateivahchata, a Divine Alliance... (creation of a pantheon)

TO: Khaza, Darnang

I am the Lord of Hosts, Eternal Judge, and Divine Arbiter, ab-kal ilâni bêl terêti, the King of Kings. If you wish to reside in my House, this can be arranged, as a stand is made against the Adversary in the South who wills naught but destruction.

Oh mighty Mateivahchata. I am queen of beauty. Grant me a gift and I will grant you my body for a night. I wish for people to worship me, and no people exist yet. I wish them to build a temple for me and I want you to do it.
*All this is said while she is naked in front of you*

I am no slave to base passion. Find another to enchain.

I might eventually invest some attention in heavy-handed, arbitrary justice, if only as an excuse to kill even more people than is usual. But that's about as far as I'll go.

Bah, I AM JUSTICE!!! ...ahem...sorry....

Bah, I AM JUSTICE!!! ...ahem...sorry....

"You are, I will be". As an usurper-god, Ka is technically supposed to try and steal other people's duties, at least when they more or less fit his main purpose. ;)

name: Gillibaba
gender: male
description: The god of gems, precious metals, gadgets, invention, curiosity, golems, enchantment, and all things that shine and sparkle or go tick or tock. His only desire is to create ever grander and more elaborate contraptions; whether they serve a meaningful purpose is negligible. His preferred earthly form is that of his favorite creature, a gnome. He will also commonly take the form of an irritatingly hyper winged-imp or a giant golem made of rock and iron.
characteristics:
-
Intervention:
duties: The inspiration of invention, harnessing of the earth, and breathing life into golems.
-
influence:
followers:
heroes:
-
realm: Gillibaba's realm lies far to the north in the frozen wastes of insurmountable mountain peaks. Hidden away among the steep icy slopes is a jewel of a valley, given life by numerous hot springs and geysers that thaw the surrounding lands and a small lake at the center of the valley. It is here that Gillibaba and his beloved gnomes make their home relying on their gadgets to harness their precious heat and living underground for greater insulation and so that they may be closer to their precious ores. Gilibaba himself makes his home in a grand, sparkling cavern far beneath the surface, where he tinkers with supernatural skill.
-
creatures:

name: Gnomes
Spoiler :
description: These energetic and surprisingly durable humanoid stand scarcely 3 feet in height but live natural lives hundreds of years long. They share a love of invention and shiny-stuff with their patron deity, Gillibaba.
cost: [1 DI for a tribe of 100]: they are similar to humans but with greater cunning and constitution.

name: Clockwork Imp
Spoiler :
description: A small flying-monkey like contraption created in the workshop of Gillibaba. He created them to serve as labor for his prized gnomes. They do not suffer any ill effects from the icy northern climate and can perform the menial duties that gnomes would rather not.
cost: 1 DI

name: Rock Golem
Spoiler :
golemqy3.jpg

description: This beast is a towering construction of Gillibaba, made in reflection of his own powerful form. It is massively strong and surprisingly dextrous, able to aid Gillibaba's gnomes in their most delicate tasks whilst still able to crush rock and steel at a whim. When left to their own bidding rock golems are fond of create giant piles of rock; tunneling out a home inside and then adorning it with various shiny things.

cost: 5 DI

=================================

I'll start out by creating my realm as described on the very northern edge of the map, half way east-west between the left and middle yellow dots. Call it Gniverfibli.

I would then like to use my gadget-y talents to build an elaborate system of pipes and valves that carry hot water from the springs down into a cave system which I have also dug. There it travels through numerous radiators to heat the caves to a balmy 78 degrees. Also, steam gathered is used to spin various wheels that clang and make noise and otherwise do nothing useful at all.

Lastly, I will create a tribe of 100 Gnomes to inhabit my realm as well as 2 clockwork imps to service them. I will instruct them in the ways of farming fungus in their subterranean habitat and in the proper use and care of their imps.

We still need to flesh out how the gods were created, as well as the exact state of the world at the moment. Regardless, creation is pointless until I decide whether or not to switch to a good god to balance out all of the evil in this world.

Shouldn't that depend on the pantheon?

To Mateivahchata
from mistress of love.

Wretched gods do not deserve my beauty. I curse you with eternal hatred! No one shall ever love you, and if anyone follow you it will only be for fearing you.

TO: Divine Wench, Patron of Prostitutes

Silence, thou whore! Your "love" is destructive, enslaving passion, a false beauty without purpose. There you have domain, in no other realm have you power. Peddle your flesh to weaker beings.

"You are, I will be". As an usurper-god, Ka is technically supposed to try and steal other people's duties, at least when they more or less fit his main purpose.

You are right. I shall have to crush you :p

Shouldn't that depend on the pantheon?

I don't think so. It isn't a creation "myth," its actual creation. It needs to be standard.

OOC: I am also the god pf pure love ;) Passion, love and beauty... Oh and every man has his weakness ;) Once there is a world I will find if you god actually has a weakness to males...

Anyway... What about a gods war to create more of the world?

Could someone please tell me how to upload picture because I seem to be doing something wrong.

Whenver I click the upload button I just get:
