Pre-GodNES

picture: [not necessary, but good pictures get bonus]
name: Jagannatha
gender: Male
description: God of Telekinesis, Light (energy), Inspiration and Justice. He is a very untypical character, being rather short and but is usually one with a good, benevolent, but also feisty nature. He did also rarely have a dark side though, he would be at times judgmental, and when angry would give little mercy to those who offend him. He also wasn't the most social god and preferred to be alone with his pack of dogs who he closely associated with.
characteristics: [leave blank, this is what is typical for your god and his/her/its expertise]
-
Intervention: [leave blank, how many DI you get every season]
Duties: He often protected the poor, inspired heroes, provided light to the darkness and levitated those who offended him or to rescue people from danger. He also is able to create powerful beams of light that can incinerate mortal creatures.
influence: [leave blank, how powerful your god is]
followers: [leave blank, how many followers your god has, also their faith]
heroes: [leave blank, the most powerful followers you have. Also prophets]
-
realm: Something like a foggy maritime Serengeti and lived inside the holes and gaps of the rocky out crop pings of the land. It would be in the extreme northeastern corner of the map.
creatures: ?
name: Colossus Myrmidon bird
description: Basically it's a massive twenty five foot high version of the OTL Phorusrhacid. Unlike it though, it's easily distinct in that it has extremely colorful patterns allover it's body. It has massive wings, but they are not that useful for flying because it can levitate itself without moving it's wings.
It's also a gentle creature and a protective one at that and will help those in need. It shockingly prefers to eat fruit, but will eat meat if at all Nessa's
It helps end conflicts within a group, inspires chosen people to go to the ends of the earth to achieve their goal. It will also help those who are lost and need to get home. However, when angry or told to do so by the controlling god, it will be able to create massive beams of light, lift people, buildings, or most other objects into the air and then just keep slamming them into the ground until they die or use them as projectiles against other targets of interest.
cost: (I am not sure, but it will need to be very if not one of the most expensive creatures in this NES. It's very close to impossible or extremely hard to slay this animal unless you put extremely high amounts of resources into it.

@Kol.7: your stats look good.

I want original gods, so Yui, could you change yours?

Bizarre gods are ok, but if they aren't played seriously, The Greatest One will smite them down. Yes, there is The Greatest One, who created all your gods. It has ultimately all the power in the worlds and just gives parts of it to some others. It has withdrawn from the worlds for some reason not revealed to you and for the same reason will restrict your powers after the creation. And for the same reason your gods's creations stories can be anything as long as they are compatible with this.

Diplomacy is acceptable, as it allows to form pantheons early.

Hmmm, not sure I like the map idea. Would it maybe be better to have a more conventional earth-like map that we can alter to represent our realms?

Nyar will create some grasslands, a small forest, and a very small lake near the southeastern point, and populate it with a tribe of 100 people, and some normal animals.

((If this is too much someone tell me, i don't think it is.))

So I'm assuming that small grassland is my creation.

The entrance to my realm constantly changes, but for now, it is located at the bottom of the lake, as the rain formed from a little of the water of the lake is growing food in my realm

Nonsense. The map's wonderful!

Seconded!

With regards to the Greatest One, are our gods even aware of his existence?

Anyway, my old questions:

Does the world have a definite general shape, and if so, what is it? Is it a flat, four-cornered plane that hovers in aether/a hellish cosmic abyss? What?

What's a human? Can I create other distantly and generally human-like (sapient or semi-sapient, two-armed, two-legged, one-headed beings) creatures for this instead?

Add to that a question about the creatures - are they supposed to be of a rarer, but powerful variety or should there be entire species, tribes and civilisations of them? It presently seems as though both are allowed.

Damn, I actually wanted where Kol is situated, but I suppose I'll get over it.

@zxcvbnm: Oh, let me spend half of my remaining creation points (the ones meant for volcanoes) towards creating land in the direction of the center focus point. I don't want a Hawaii. :)

I will use some of my creatrion points to extend my area a sortish distance toward llamatopia, this area will be a forest locked in eternal winter, decidous and evergreen trees, deer to hunt, not my mythological ones just normal ones. A few ordinary wolf packs as well.

OOC: Is my realm meant to be an area outside of this world? If so, does that mean I can draw a map of it, find pictures for it etc? Do our followers live in our realm, or just in the outside world, or both? Is it possible to attack another God's realm? Do we need to send orders? Will there be a game thread?

If we're all making more land than I would like to expand from Gillibaba's realm: to the north, east, and west, more icy mountains full of icy-mountain-ness, and to the south forested foothills, not locked eternally in winter, but still cold, giving way to temperate lightly wooded grasslands and then ending abruptly at the sheer cliffs abutting the Greatest Ocean.

(So far I think I've spent 6 creation points: 1 for the initial territory, 1 for my gnomes, 1 (maybe 2?) for setting up the initial gnomish gadgets and instructing the gnomes in their use, 2 for the clockwork imps, and another 1/2 for expansion. Would that be correct?)

Fetus what is your God the God of? It seems our domain is fairly similiar. How do creation points work though. Is it just one for the initial area, one for each mythological creature you can make, one for each village, one for each area of expansion etc?

If we are expaniding, I'd like to Expand fertile fields in all directions, with a hilly region to the south, and forests continueing from where i'm now...

the map will be filled in randomly, if there is open space, right?

God of wealth, invention, ingenuity, sparkly things, etc. My domain is pretty much limited to the little island of life inside your frigid domain :)

Works out well, Gillibaba has little concern for the doings of the rest of the world.

I'd like to second this question. Is our realm the lands under our influence in this world, or is something extra dimensional, or anything else we can dream up?

Anyone who has looked at the Varcia: In Heaka's Name Nes will now who this is.

Picture: Will have to do till I find a better one.

Mod can decide when I am doing something wrong in his eyes, please model any decisions he makes off Soltalos' and Danouri personalities.)

They are as strong as ten Danouri who in turn are as strong as ten men. Danouri and Arch-Danouri can not die of old age and disease while the Sylan can die of old age but they live twice as long as humans. Arch-Danouri are very, very hard to kill completely but they can be banished or lose their corporeal form a bit more easily. Increased cost to show this.
Cost: 1 per 20 DI

Hail fellow fire god. What do you say of an alliance?

To: Zamorak
From: Soltalos

I am more of a second God of Light that sometimes uses fire to meet my ends but yes I accept your proposal.

At the dot above Mal I want to create some plains and forest. I also want to create a tribe of 80 Sylan and 10 Danouri to guard them.

The Great Llama: to: Szok
the great llama greets you and recognises your mastery over knowledge. One hopes that we may co-operate and work together to make a new Creation.

One form of Szok
name: Szok
gender: Androgynous Shapeshifter
description: Shoz is a being borne of thought, one of the oldest gods. Shoz brought humanity the gift- and curse- of their minds. Now wandering the world on the currents of thought, this God of the Mind aids those who seek knowledge above all else.
characteristics:
-
Intervention:
duties: Holding all Knowledge
-
influence:
followers:
heroes:
-
realm: The realm of Szok is an infinite, mystical library containing all wisdom of all knowledge, everything that has ever happened, is happening, or has yet to come. Surrounding it is a vast, mountainous jungle.
-
creatures: Pythons
name: Python
description: The Pythons are snakes, more massive than anything found in nature. They can speak, and are great stores of knowledge.
cost: Varies depending on the size and wisdom. They range from being simply large, talking snakes to colossal beasts hundreds of meters long.

Spoiler :
They say that, in the realm of a god, there is a great temple-library. Within it is a collection of all knowledge, unparalleled in the Mortal World. Some say that this place is the home of a god... others say it is his gift to humanity.

The mythic Library of Szok is inscribed with its name in every language of, humans, animals and deities. Those who find it can feast upon the unlimited knowledge it offers. However, more often than not, observing the universe as it is drives them mad. Those who survive are typically those who seek only a small amount and leave- perhaps seeking a magical spell, the answers to their questions, or to attain wisdom and enlightenment. Others come to seek the knowledge of how to defeat their enemies, how to twist the world to their will. They may do as they please.

It is said that Shoz first appeared before the very first humans, who were little more than animals. Taking the form of a green serpent, he approached woman, offering her the fruits of knowledge. She accepted, and thus was woman blessed with wisdom, for she took it first, before sharing it with Man.

Throughout history, Shoz has guided the actions of many people. King Eydrel, a devotee who long ago ruled a great kingdom in the west, was renowned for his wisdom, and the creation of deadly metals in his weapons. However, when later kings abandoned Shoz, the thousand-headed serpent consumed the knowledge of these incredible metals from their heads.

Szok, we are told, has myriad forms. In the stories I have heard, Szok has been... crawling creatures small and large, the aforementioned many-headed monster, a snake-headed man, a woman carrying a serpent... I imagine that the powers of a god really are unlimited, as is this. Perhaps my teacher was an incarnation of Szok- though as I never really got along with the man, I hope this is not the case.

I remember a tale from my childhood where Szok would watch people hunting the animals. Some cried out for help, so Szok taught them how to avoid the humans. He taught rodent how to hide, rabbit how to run, bird how to fly, and beast how to fight. It's said that the snakes, Szok' representatives, can teach you their own clever little things when they feel like it. Unfortunately, snakes tend to bite those who interrupt their meditations, out of annoyance.

Snakes can be moody creatures. The same, I have noticed, is true for intellectuals. Although the intellectuals are more reserved in their biting.

Intro said:
In the Pre-NES phase you can create 10 things in the world, after making a god for yourself. These include (but aren't limited to)
Create terrain: you decide what the terrain of roughly about a square inch area is (2.5 x 2.5 cm on my monitor). This decides what kind of a world the world is.
Create realm: you create the entrance of your realm somewhere
Spawn creatures: you can spawn different kinds of creatures in the world. Either animal packs or 3 DI worth of mythical creatures of your own. Animal packs may die very quickly in areas they can't survive in.
Spawn humans: you can spawn a primitive tribe of 100 humans somewhere. Remember that they must be able to survive.

I didn't do this bit earlier, so here is my opening post again.

The terrain around my realm (The Library of Szok) is a massive, dangerous upland jungle.

I would like to use my DI to spawn one massive Python.

Use the rest of my DI to create minor Pythons, adapted to live in different environments, throughout the world.

Create, on the Western edge, a bountiful coastal region
Give revelations to a townsperson named Chubut to found a religion in my name
Spawn 1 of my tunneler magicians
