I know absolutely nothing about this, but I'd like to start a non-profit business, the Fanatikan Football league. We will be taking in money from registered teams and a percentage of bets, but all money gained will be placed into a reward pot for the teams. I own the league, but no stock will be sold and I will receive no profit. I'd like to be certain that this counts as a non-profit business, as well as to know what starting costs there may be associated with it. This is my first business.

A private business is a singerly owned business by one person. A personal business is owned by two people. A public company has multiply owners and can sell stocks. A corporation has mutliply owner, can sell stocks, and can own other business's.
The expense factor is the range of your prices... They effect the start-up cost of your business.
The estimated start-up cost is exactly what it says.... The estimated start-up cost.
Ok, I will be a Public Company. I assume that I start with full ownership, and can sell shares as I please. I dont think there will be a start-up cost and I will price cases depending on the amount of work required.
