Protesters turn violent again against minuteman speaker.

And you work in construction? Maybe you own a construction company and thats why you know so much about the industry. Maybe you deal with the unions every day. Or maybe your just plum wrong. But what do I know as a long time construction worker who now owns a construction company and deals with unions everyday.

Well, you should get with the program then and start hiring illegals, like everyone else. Why pay a skilled American carpenter, when you can get a comparably skilled Mexican one for a third of the cost?

Jollyroger has a point there:lol: He's absolutely right, they cant control the border of their speaking platform, how are they going to control the border of the country?

So they increased the border control of their platform and it still didn't work?

Actualy 5 people were arrested for assualt. So it did work. Now are done being rediculous? Or would you like to come up with some other lame attempt at making the MMP look bad only to fail and make yourself look foolish.

Seeing as they are protesting the governments ineffective patroling of the boarders JR's point is just pointless.

You know, Im not at all opposed to the goals of the MMP, just the idea of private citizens doing something that the Federal government is supposed to be doing.

Looks like they weren't arrested for assault - they were arrested for not leaving:

From the reports, it seems police acted appropriately by giving students a warning before asking protesters to leave. A video on The State News' Web site shows police calmly asking disruptive students to leave, citing MSU Ordinance 15.02, which states, "no person shall disrupt the normal operation of any properly authorized class, laboratory, seminar, examination, field trip or other educational activity of the university."

Speaking of assault:

And if the Minutemen are going to whine about their treatment, they should change their name. I can't imagine the real Minutemen whining about how the local college kids treated them back in the day.

Well, by consistently demonstrating how difficult it is for a group to secure even a small area when surrounded by security, it does make the point of how difficult it is for the government to secure a huge border.

The Minutemen should work on securing their own speakers before we can take them seriously in regards to securing the borders.

Well the protesters entered the conference room legally and didn't illegally enter through the fire escape.
