Question: Has anyone ever built the iron works and how often?

I seem to get the Iron Works more often when I play as England than any other civ.

or are some Civs more prone to find certain resources than others?

I would just love it if Civ ws clever enough to take that into account, but i guess you are just lucky...

I think its because the civ you choose has some bearing on the lattitude you start out on. I think there is a factor built in to the game generator. I know its not always the case and you can sometimes choose england and get a desert start. But when that happens, I often re-roll until I get terrain that looks more like the lands that my civ should have. Thats how certain civs 'seem' to get a certain set of resources more often than not.
