Can one unit intercept aircraft multiple times per turn?
I recall being told some time ago that it's the opposite--that each anti-aircraft unit gets one chance to intercept per turn. So while each unit's odds of interception don't stack, if you're facing attacks from multiple air units it helps to have several anti-aircraft units near their attack targets.

That's how I remember it too, though I wasn't sure at all and therefore waited for someone else to answer. ;)

Though I also very faintly recall interception being an issue during the development of either the unofficial patch or the BetterAI mod, so it may behave differently in those popular mods than in the base game. But as I said, my memory is very fuzzy on that one, so take that with a jug of salt. (Erm, actually that would kill you, so please don't, but you probably knew what I meant. Anyway, I should get some sleep. ;) )

#3 Captured wonders do not provide any culture, but they still work (if they're not obsolete, great people points per turn are not lost). All other culture generating buildings are destroyed.

Ok, so silly question then, why are they still even showing up? All three of them are obsolete, but I would think they would provide culture irregardless of who owns the land, I mean we're not talking specific National Wonders or anything here, but Great wonders. I mean if it don't it don't I get that, Just curious if anyone would know why?

I would like to whip, but we got the silly UN Global Emancipation gig going, though I might be able to switch over to Rep. and save a small part of the population anyway.

Thanks for the help.

I agree, it would make sense if wonders continued to produce culture after changing hands. It wasn't like people stopped marvelling at the Pyramids after they were taken over by the Romans, French, etc., etc. I suspect it's a game balance thing.

In any case, even obsolete, captured wonders continue to produce GP points.

Well I guess that's the bright spot. I prob shouldn't be complaining, the game is close to over and I'll finally be moving onto BtS. Given all the whoo haa I've seen with V I think I'll be able to kick around quite a while long with IV b4 moving on.

It almost sounds like V has gone the way of Sid's "Railroads" adventure. That Tycoon series was the BOMB for quite a while, and then the final one came out with mucho eye candy and modability. Worked great for those looking for Multi-Player or modding opportunity, kind of sucked for the rest of us.

True, but were they revered as "the Pyramids built by the ancient Egyptians", or as "the Pyramids conquered by the Romans/French/etc."? ;) Gameplay-wise I'd be fine with either, but I'd say it's not necessarily unrealistic that conquered wonders don't boost the culture of their conquerors. Also, since culture has a strong local effect in Civ4, letting wonders produce culture for their conquerors would imply that the surrounding populace likes/respects the conquerors substantially faster (i.e., faster spread of the conqueror's culture in the adjacent tiles) for having conquered the wonders that they themselves built, which doesn't sound terribly convincing for me either. ;)

There are no nuclear explosion graphics when I use nukes, I checked my graphic settings and it doesn't seem to be anything disabled so is it my graphic card limitations?

Are you using ICBMs or tactical nukes? I'm not sure whether the tacticals have the explosion graphics (I'm not even sure whether I ever used them).

I think it's because you're on Team Edward. :trouble:

I think it would definitely be to graphic's limitations. My card is bad, explosion doesn't show up in Vanilla, but does in BtS. What game version do you have?

Then it must be your graphics card. What type do you have? At this point though, it would become a question for the Tech Support subforum.

Whatever that came with my laptop, intel chipset or something which I don't think can run much. I'm probably luck it runs BTS at all.

That's likely to be the problem then, Intel integrated graphics have a long history of incompatibilities. You might see some other glitches as well. As Jerrymander suggested, it might be a good idea to ask in the tech support forum, to confirm the theory. There also might be workarounds to display the graphics, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I enabled 'chipotle' in BTS for revealing the map after finishing a game.
When I hold shift or ctrl over an enemy stack I get all sorts of information (like city culture, total number or units). Is that normal or because of chipotle?

It says: "I spy with my little eye".

That's not normal at all, as far as I can remember.

Just noticed... a fighter on an intercept mission will defend against multiple air units (until it's shut down of course) in its entire operational range.
