You used the button "avoid growth" in the past and forgot to turn it off.
never happened to me but I don't think you can stick with a civic you don't have the tech for.1. If I build the Pyramids, then choose a civic for which I do not have the technology for, then lose the Pyramids to conquest, do I still get to stay in that civic?
the fact that you can build it doesn't imply you should build it2. How come I can still build a coal plant in the city where I built the National Park even though it's suppose to remove the city's access to coal?
You get a 50% bonus if your city has access to iron and another 50% if it has access to iron.3. How does Ironworks function? Do you only get a bonus if the city has a coal or iron within it's radius? Do you get an extra bonus if the city has both in its radius?
the benefit of spreading your corps to them is :4. What is the benefit of spreading a corporation to a foreign city? If the corporation gives culture, is it giving YOUR culture to that foreign city or just regular culture?
There's no way of doing that that I know of, unfortunately. Is there any way to order the operations during wartime? I would like to handle all of my air units first, then my land units. Avoids forgetting a bomber, then losing a tank because the enemy wasn't softened up enough ...
Yes, I believe so - as far as I know the only improvements that can be built on forests are lumbermills and camps.do watermills destroy forests? That is if a watermill is built on a grasslands forest, will it remove the forest (and the +1)
If you're really desperate (because it's not much fun), you can go into the military advisor, and look at your own troops. Is there any way to order the operations during wartime? I would like to handle all of my air units first, then my land units. Avoids forgetting a bomber, then losing a tank because the enemy wasn't softened up enough ...

the benefit of spreading your corps to them is :
- they pay the maintenance
- you get the HQ's money

happens to me all the time!Usually, your land based units are located in 1, 2 or 3 large groups and maybe some reinforcements that are on the way. You could temporarily fortify the large groups and move the reinforcements, your workers and use your fighters and bombers and only then defortify/unfortify (is there a word for that?) your large groups of land units and use them. But don't forget to defortify and use them!
What techs mark the transitions from one era to another?
Thanks a lot for the info, I'm digging through that file now. Each technology belongs to a certain era. If you discover a technology from a later era than the one you're presently in, then you'll move to that era. In BTS, when a technology advances you to the next era, this is mentioned in the tech tree. You can find the era of all the technologies in the file CIV4TechInfos.xml.
The era of the game has very little influence on various game elements.
And forts. There's no way of doing that that I know of, unfortunately.

Thanks for the help, I think Im experiencing the bug that was described.
I cant make my cities produce corporate executives to spread my 2 corporations. I have founded Sushi and Mining Inc but they do not spread on their own, nor do I have the option of training a corporate executive in any of my cities, including the 2 cities that are the place of incorporation.
Ahhh I fixed it. thanks. I was using a civic that disallowed corporate growth. Now if I could get the last 15 turns back.
