Does MultiPlayer work any better on Civ4? I'm thinking of upgrading from Civ3.
In addition to what CCRunner7 said, you can also:What are the ways to build up + points on relationships besides religion and time?
For instance, I had a civ that was -1 to me, but he really hated a civ I wanted attacked. I tried trading, but it seemed to not work much at all. Could I have gifted say 8 techs to him and got a bonus? Is there a guide for this?
Thanks
I've definitely seen it for AP elections.I've never seen a diplo boost for voting for/against the AI in AP/UN elections![]()
When you have a city build research, culture or wealth, what bonuses and modifiers apply?
this bump is cuterBump10!
Also, does owning the AP benefit you at all if someone else is elected Resident? Does anything happen if the owner of the AP converts to a different religion?

the owner of the AP is a full member regardless of whether he runs the AP religion as his state religion - all others are only full members if they run the AP religion as their state religions - so that is already a huge benefit if you want to get elected...
also the AP's production bonus on religious buildings is free for everyone.
If you switch out of the AP religion you lose half your votes (actually you lose the 100% vote bonus - but the effect is the same).
production modifiers apply to basic production (forge, factory, ironworks, bureaucracy...), then all this is changed at 100% into gold/beakers/culture, and that's all. So basically, only production modifiers apply, not those from library, market...
you are right. When Mass Media is researched by the owner of the Apostolic Palace, does the +2 hammers for religious buildings effect get obsoleted for everyone, or just for the person who researched it? Also, if a person not owning the Apostolic Palace researches Mass Media, do they still keep the +2 hammers for religious buildings? (I assume the answer to the former is "everyone" and the latter is "yes", but I'm just checking.)
you are right.
the AP gets disabled once the owner knows Mass Media - and with it the +2go away. There is no effect whatsoever of another player knowing Mass Media.
So if you enjoy that hammer bonus, you should go Martin Luther on your Pope and cripple him too badly to research Mass Media.
What is the diffence betweeen invisible submarine and invisible stealth?
More things can spot a submarine (airships, destroyers, other subs I think) than a stealth destroyer (only other stealth destroyers?) Which must make S. Destroyers amazing blockaders if you get them first.
Thanks![]()
