Now some suggestions, and some questions:

I have made some little changes in the XML, which I am testing at the moment, which I would recommend:
For heavy horsemen and cavalry I have added flank attacks against cats, trebs and bombards.
For helicopters, gunships and helijets I have added flank attacks against bombards, cannons, and assault guns.

The extra DCM air missions for some reason don't work on the ATF. They work on all the other aircraft. I can't find anything wrong in the XML, the extra tags are all there, and it is annoying when you get ATFs and can't do the extra missions anymore. Since I can't fix it properly I have got around it by making the advanced jet fighter also upgrade to a starfighter, which means you can still build them instead of ATFs if you want to.

I am not convinced about the free units for researching a tech. If I only get a limited number, I might rather build them in my HE/WP city which can build most things in 1 turn anyway. Drill 4 mammoth tanks are nice. Also getting free nukes when no-one has built MP yet is funny, but a bit dubious gameplay wise. Is there an easy way to turn it off?

Finally I would be really grateful if someone could help me with this. I want to exclude some civs from the game. Say I want to play some very watery maps with all random civs, but want to exclude the dutch and portugese, both for me and for the AI. (we will let Ragnar in as an AI, beserkers are cool but he can't tech worth a damn anyway) I have tried changing the bPlayable and bAIPlayable to zero in Civ4CivilizationInfos in both Beyond the Sword\Mods\Quot Capita\Assets\XML\civilizations and Beyond the Sword\Mods\Quot Capita\Assets\Modules\Varietas Delectat\UnitArtStyles, but I can't get rid of them :mad:

I'll check out that ATF problem.
About removing civs: as bPlayable didn't help I unfortunately don't know what else you could do (save of deleting the civs completely of course, but that's not nice, there must be a method)
 
I apologize if this has already been addressed but I did a search in this thread and found nothing.

When I load the mod, then try to run a scenario that is built for BTS 3.19, I get an error regarding CvWBInterface line 65, getGameData.

I can move past that, but when I choose a civ, I get a CTD. Is there a way around this? Can prebuilt scenarios not be used in this?

I found the solution on my own later....
So it turns out that if you bring in a WBS file (scenario) file from BTS, you have to take into consideration the number of teams and players in the scenario file. The BTS .dll comes with 18 civs, the QC needs 50.

Also, the barbarian cities are an issue. In default, they are the last civ which would be 18, but in QC it needs to be 50, so you need to change all the cities with CityOwner=18 to CityOwner=50. At that point the scenario loads with no errors, but you still have the new resources, units, and other stuff to contend with.
 
Any chance for an update soon? Maybe with the new VD, some more additional civs, and the rest of the Leaders of VD added back in?
 
I was wondering what Graphic Mod Pack (IF any) you used to make the pre gunpowder units have the Civ's Flag of the civ you playing on thier Fronts?

You mean units like the English pikeman? That's already in BtS with some units (e.g. the aforementioned pikeman).
 
Hi Avain,

For one turn, I got a popup about a sacred cow taboo that began starving my people. I was not using Hinduism as a state religion, it kicked in after I built the Internet and it only lasted one turn. Why?

I have a similar problem after getting Divine Right via the Internet, with Islam and Pigs. I am running free religion and don't have Islam in any of my cities, but it seems none of my cities have access to pigs anymore, and the effect seems to be permanent.

I'm thinking about ditching the whole religious food stuff for the next version...
 
Did anybody ever figure out what caused that glitch where I didn't win the Space Race and all of the trees got sucked into the ground?
 
WEEEEEEE i cant to play with this mode e more other ( bts extended,fictionalizationecc...) ... because menu ,text and description not appear... WHYYYYYYYYYYY

One suggestion I have, is that rather than a corporation type effect for religions, maybe add in religious unique units. Each would carry the flavor you are trying to add and include a specific role(maybe the units could not only require a specific religion, but depend on civics as well). Just some ideas.

PS: Hey Avain I have been thinking of working on a modmod(the new thing these days) of this with your permission once you have the next version out. I have always loved your work and it was actually one of the things that first got me into Civ4.

I would probably start small though with this project, basically add in a few new religions(nothing to excessive though). Eventually I'd like to incorporate more things, like a stone age.

@Bahmo: Trees being sucked into the ground? I'm pretty sure I've never seen anything similar, so if you can provide savegames that would be helpful.

@Alessandrofff: Did you patch to 3.19? If everything else fails, you might need to reinstall Civ.

It's not like only VD will be updated, but I will merge all the code from scratch. There are great things done to RevDCM (heart of QC), and that needs to be merged.

Well, she can be a Great General or a Great Prophet, too. (you are of course free to change it as you like)
 
BLARGH.

I keep getting CTDs when I sail across the world in meh Caravel. I pass a certain point (past Huanya Capac and, presumably, discovering a new Civ) and the game just crashes. Each time. Right there. No problems up until that point.

I've attached my logs from that sad event, in the hopes that someone can help me.

Regarding the trees, I have noticed trees appearing to shrink away from the edge of an arcology when it gets built. But it's only a graphical thing - if you mouse over the plot, it still says forest, and you still get the hammers from your lumbermill if there is one. Could that be what you saw?

I had this happen before trying to use Blue Marble with certain mods. In the end, the fairly drastic solution was to completely uninstall and reinstall CIV without Blue Marble.
