I see. Is it possible to combine a terrain blend from IG with Blue Marble's?
(Actually I prefer BM terrain, but some additional details in IG are really cool, such as cactus in desert, etc.)

Yes. I have combined the two (minus most of the LH reskins). If its the color of the BM terrain you like, I suggest using the BM's blend dds of each type of terrain and the IG detail texture(which is far more detailed). Just put them in the same folder and they work autimatically. You should probably make sure when adding chuggis stuff that you resize them to "normal" size, as some are larger than vanillas textures.

Im not sure if anyone actually got ahold of the cactus/plateaus or the grassland flowers. Those seemed like really great visual improvements, but they dont seem to be in IG 2.0. If anybody got those I would lave to have them.

Yeah like I said in my last post, you can pretty much combine any parts of either that you want. You just have to replace the undesired texture with the one you want. Its not complex, you dont even really have to understand how it works. Just which texture is which and theres only like 3 for each terrain.
 
Thanks, Achilles. I figured it out last night and gave it a try. I don't know how to resize the IG detail layers to 'normal' however.
 
Thanks for the update! Also, in regards to different terrains, I am all for the idea! I've recently been playing the Next War Advanced mod, and feel that it has a great mix of terrains; marshes, scrub, etc. All of these terrains also blend nicely with Blue Marble. Another interesting feature in the mod are some of the natural features - volcanoes, storms, tsnamies, tornadoes, blizzards, etc. If you are looking for the right mods to incorporate the different terrains in QC, I'd check out the mod list in ANW. Have you ever thought of adding natural disasters to QC?

I have a small surprise for you, a fine tuned PerfectWorld2(by cephalo) map script. I really liked PerfectWorld2 except for the huge mountain areas. It may be Earth like, but I preferred the vanilla style 'a few' peak approach. And some other fine tunings.
You are free to try out, just extract it into the PublicMaps folder:

It can be found in RevDCM thread.

However, this mod adds few other source mods so if you want me to merge in CAR for you, can you give me sources for these additional sources so I can merge them in?

Because, technically, other than traits all leaders are the same so I decide to just oplay with LHs who look good on screen :D.

Speaking of PW2, what do you think about the resource placement on PW maps? Am I the only one that dislikes it and thinks it messes too much with gameplay and balance? Other than that I think its the best map script out there.
 
When I try to play quot capita, there is no interface. I tried Alt-I, Ctrl-I and nothing works, can anyone give some help or a patch

No, you are certainly not the only one. That's something I couldn't change with parameters. Somehow it generates too much clustered resources compared to vanilla, and too much of the same type despite the XML defs. Not really sure that it has more overall resources (it can be fine tuned with a param), but somehow it's not balanced, I agree. Might have to talk with cephalo about this.

Hi,
please make sure you did everything as the installation instruction suggests.
I'd also recommend uninstalling the mod, and then installing it again with default options and see what happens.
Also, you can try and check your Custom Assets folder, often times it helps if you clear it.
Clearing the cache can help, too.

OK, I will do that and upload the new dll. I will do all testing of that dll by playing QC through. Although I'm looking forward to Glider1's eventual merging of the wishlist as well. But because I'm only a student at college (return on Aug 30, first classes on Aug 31, I have comparatively more free time than he does so I will be more than happy to volunteer my budding skills.

To be honest, three months when I first joined full-time here, I never dreamed that I will be willing to touch SDK, much less merging in stuff in there *shakehead*. :D
