I'm a functional cripple, Mary.I wouldn't suggest taking caffeine to give yourself more energy. You're not going to get the kind of energy you need, and you also get diminishing returns over time (until you're eventually just taking caffeine to avoid caffeine withdrawal)
My first suggestion would by to try some yoga: just doing a simple cat-cow and downward facing dog routine will do wonders for your energy. Just spent like 10 minutes on it, and focus on your body's breath and energy.
Also drink lots of water: caffeine is a diuretic, and dehydration will make you feel sluggish. Keeping up with your water can help you avoid this.
Get your sleep! Please make sure you're getting a solid eight hours each night, and if you need to during the day a little power nap can help you feel refreshed.
Lastly, take a walk outside! Exercise, fresh air, and sunshine will boost your mood and your energy levels.
I'm sorry you're going through thisI hope you find your energy secret!

I'm all good on the hydration front.
FWIW, I do think yoga is helpful, just not towards building energy (for me). Yoga is the only reason I stopped using a cane years ago, and I can maintain my "pretend I'm a functioning human bean" facade now with a daily walk.
