Why McGuire and Reagan are the worst presidents

Because the democrats are likely to cheat egart out of the nomination once again and McGuire will face someone in Biden, Warren or Pete Buttslap who are centrist chumps and can't win the midwest back. Biden will throw himself, Warren will get thrown and Pete Buttslap will get thrown by voters since he's such a fake. The Reagan was a terrific era wasn't it. Making the brave decision to invade Grenada because it was such a dangerous country. Our glorious champion of deregulation and free enterprise and destroyer of the Soviet Union when Gorbachev did most of the work for him. McGuire is the second coming of Reagan giving handouts to billionaires while impoverishing the rest of the country. McGuire might as well just strap on his cowboy boots to show his "courage" of the "bad people" coming across the border like Reagan strapping them on and claiming the Nicaraguans were a 2 day trip away from invading Texas. Both like giving weapons to terrorists and support apartheid states and ignoring atrocities committed by "friends." Wasn't till Obama that Mandela was taken off the terrorist list. But Reagan says nice folksy things so he's cool, and McGuire tells it like it is so it's ok.

We've got rain and as of last night they were saying the rain would stop today around noon but now they are saying it won't start until noon. I have to work until noon today and we had been hoping to go up to the mall afterward and snag a pretzel and putz around but it's an outdoor mall so that ain't going to happen.

There is a rave in that though - it rained hard all night and I love sleeping with the sound of driving rain against the windows. It's such a rare treat these days that I savor it.

When my dad was trying to clean up the living room (which he turned into his home office/bedroom when he retired and filled up with lots of boxes and piles of papers that have only grown in the past 8 years) he found the manuscripts of 3 novels he tried to get published almost 30 years ago.

He is of the opinion that they are great works of literature that he needs to self publish with Amazon (like he did another book 3 years ago) if he cannot convince a more traditional press to buy them.

I think they are terrible.

Essentially what we have here are "Left Behind" FanFiction, written at around a 2nd grade reading level, with a lot more heavy handed messages against Abortion and in favor of Christian Nationalism.

He wants me to get it all typed up and proofread for him.

You are in a tough spot. You might suggest that you don't have time to type them and are not qualified to proofread them well. Them suggest that he find a like minded Christian to do the work since they would perhaps be a more suitable reader and judge the responsiveness of his actual audience. Some church member?

This doesn't seem like that tough a spot. If you have some time and want to do something for him, type and proof. If not, explain that you don't have time. If that's your regular job tell him you don't have time to do unpaid work right now.

Because...

Ultimately rejecting or accepting for publication is not your job or your problem. The number of things that have been published and made mountains of money that I would describe as crap written at a second grade level would fill a long list.
