Random Rants ΠΕ': You're standing on my neck.

University has decided to cancel all non-teaching activities and to make it so that lectures are only recorded and uploaded online.
By never deleting the subscription to an old mailing list I've just found out my former teachers are being quarantined.

Edit: look up Margarita Del Val's column on the coronavirus and contagion.

Damn, March is almost half over already?

It somehow both feels like three weeks ago was a decade ago and also three weeks ago was like yesterday, it's still only like, February 17th or something, right?

I'm mostly frustrated that I wasn't able to get my fanfic chapter out before the end of February. I'm still working on that damn thing.

We're getting old.

I wrote my first fanfic, which i didn't actually know was a fanfic, in daily blog posts Monday through Friday with a readership that would flip out in my comments section if I missed a day. That was my first exercise in sustained writing discipline.

I only had two comments on my fic so far, a nice one from a friend and an abusive one from the significant other of a former friend (promptly deleted, but honestly WTH?).

I had about fifty hits a day when Arvil Bren was being written on Blogger, but I advertised it pretty hard when I was around forty days in, and kept marketing pretty consistently after that. If I took a day off I would get a handful of WTH comments every time.

You graduated?
It's probably been years now but I never cought onto it.
Very belated congratulations if so.

Well the "I'm so mad about this" did suggest a rather tunnel-visioned take on it.
I can have multiple perspectives.
This one affecting my daily life makes me mad
the one about society at large makes me depressed
the one about people I know at particular risk makes me anxious

and people don't need to bring up their holistic view on someting every single time (happens almost never here)

I didn't sleep much last night, got up at 5am to work out and am stressed and distracted by all the news. I cope with stress by eating. So I ate a double sized beef and cheddar combo from arbys. It was delicious. That part should go in the raves. But now I am stuffed and lethargic and feeling guilty for not eating the salad and fish I brought to work. That's my rant.

How is Arby's in the US? It's absolute garbo here.

Also update like it was yesterday the university announced their meassures but today the government decided all universities and schools had to close so now like it's gonna get even more rubbish to get through this semester

Thanks! I am still in the rantworthy situation that develops as follows: a) I finished my final semester in July 2018 b) my application for a diploma got accepted only in November 2019 c) it takes a year after that, at least, for me to get the degree and be allowed to officially register and be allowed to work legally. XD

Oh, we did graduate at the same time then.
