Honestly, how stupid do scammers think people are? I just received an email that starts out as follows:

ON BEHALF OF THE BANK OF AMERICA AND THEIR GOVERNING BODY'S.

I'M MR. BRAIN T. MOYNIHAN THE CHAIRMAN AND CEO BANK OF AMERICA, THE AMERICAN MULTINATIONAL INVESTMENT BANK AND FINANCIAL SERVICE HOLDING COMPANY.

I had a giggle and eyeroll and deleted it.

This morning I had a scam call - one of those intended to hand over control of your computer to someone in a boiler room in India. I think my exasperated sigh when he stuttered out his name and I heard all the muttering in the background told him that it was already a lost cause and he should hang up. Good thing, since I haven't had much energy for awhile now and didn't want to waste what little I did have on multiple four-letter words at that hour of the morning.

They don't care. Most of these people are super-obnoxious and act so "hurt" if you tell them off, or they pretend not to understand that two-word expression that has 7 letters that I can't type here without tripping the autocensor.

I'm no longer as angry at the scammer. I've just come from FB, where some entitled, elitist cow just said that people who make "only" $200k/year have no expectations that their children will excel in school, so there's no point in the government funding public schools to the point that they have the resources enjoyed by the private schools (that also receive taxpayer funding in my province). She actually used the word "undesirables" to describe all the horrible kids she doesn't want mixing with her own precious offspring - such as disabled kids, low-income kids... it's like watching a mashup of Trumpism and every pureblood Harry Potter villain in one.
