I'm also under the weather, my throat hurts, might be coming down with a bad cold :(

Go to somewhere where it's not damp all the year, Mr. J.

It's not damp here, but you can still catch colds.

Who watches TV or listens to radio anymore?

I "listen" to the radio almost continuously. It's mostly on in the background, but it's also my main source of news and general information.

I don't have a TV since I think it rots the brain. Or rather it would rot my brain because I'd be watching it the whole time, lacking, as I do, any faculty for discernment of what's good and what's rubbish.

You definitely don't want a runaway cold out and about.

not understanding the stuff, or not motivated (due to lack of interest) to understand it?

I suppose motivation. I did try pretty hard to understand things in lectures, I think, but I've almost not at all gotten myself to read anything.

So I'm absolutely horrible at spin and torque and rotation in general. I don't think I really learned it, and have forgotten a lot.
I said (roughly) that to the astrophysics professor and he said that was assumed known in this course.
I have the feeling he was thinking "you're screwed" but didn't have the heart to say that explicitly

Semi rave / rant time again.

Since Monday I'm now on Californian Rocket Fuel!!! (Venlafaxine 150 mg & Mirtazapine 15 mg).

Pro - I'm no longer hyper and over energized.
Con - I have fatigue during the daytime again, but significantly much less (around 25-33%) of how much I had before the venlafaxine.

The hypnotic effect of mirtazapine weakens with use, so after 1-2 weeks it shouldn't be as bad as it is now, but it its still too much the GP said I can try 30 mg after as a higher dose causes less sedation.

Getting both of these into the right balance should be a 100% fix for me it seems. Hopefully.

Actually its not the sedation of mirtazapine that causing the current symptoms, but the increased amount of drugs. I just realized Im having muscle myalgia and increased body temperature like a flu - similar to when I very first started on SSRIs but not as severe as I'm used to it now.

This initial body adjustment goes away within a week, and is the main reason why they start you on the lowest doses and then gradually increase. Basically I get to feel like a dead zombie for a few days, also I want to go to a volunteer centre tomorrow to get some work placements to boost my C.V.

At the very first when I started on SSRIs at the start of 2014, such symptoms were scary, but they happen and go away in a few days once the body is used to the neurotransmitter increase.

It does work to calm down a hyper reactive response to venlafaxine very effectively though.

You're an admirable fellow, Mr Havv. If you can not only cope with SSRIs, and all that. AND find yourself a new job at the same time.

Oh this stuff is heavier than SSRIs. I'm going to take a half dose for the next 4 days to adjust to rule out any possibility of seratonin syndrome, my body temperature has only gone up to 37.5 degs though, while seratonin syndrome would be 40+ and loads of other symptoms.

If I cant adjust to it within 2 weeks then it needs to be stopped.

After a nights rest the fever has already gone, but the myalgia is still around. Seems like I wont need to take half a pill and can continue on with the full dose until my body can hopfully handle it. Just need to get through my appointment with the volunteer centre tomorrow, or skip it if still too crappy and go next week instead.

Where do I start?

My relationship ended unpleasantly. I highly resent and loathe being back in this country and at my school. And everywhere I look I see fascists and far-left slacktivists.

And there's not really much reason to come back here.

I take it Europe has fewer fascists and the far-leftists are less slacktivisty?
