My cell phone now seems incapable of recharging.
I have had it connected to the charger since Tuesday night, but was surprised this morning to find it has 0% power remaining. It wouldn't even turn on enough to show the charge for more than a fraction of a second. I was going to see if it would work if I switched the SIM and SD cards with my sister's phone, but decided to try just changing batteries first. When I swapped the batteries I found mine works just fine, with 80% power remaining from her battery, but it still won't recharge. Her cell phone with my battery registered 0%, but was recharging just fine.
(She did not understand what I was asking for, and use a factory reset on her phone for no good reason before that test. She ordered a better phone which should have cheaper service, which is supposed to arrive this Tuesday, so for now she only set up her old one to work for calls but did not link it to her gmail account or anything else. )
When I closely inspect the phones I find the female microUSB charger jack on mine looks a little discolored compared to hers, like it is corroded.
I did knock over a glass of water and get it wet on Thursday, but it seemed to be working fine for days after that. I guess maybe it did not damage the inside of the phone but was just enough to start the jack corroding.

Rant: Sometimes I wonder why I'm friends with some of my friends. Okay, I know why, because they're just there.
But honestly, some have a rather awful personality, and sometimes I really don't want to know them.
Makes me wonder if it's not a good thing that my contract ends soon and I'll have to move to somewhere else.
