Random Rants : Someone is wrong on the Internet

Well Tim, it's justified this time every time.

Of course you wouldn't. It is justified this time. It's always justified.

Expensive.
Too much work.
Goat poop all over the yard...
So buy a manual lawn mower and hire a kid to do the work. Or redesign the yard so it doesn't have anything that needs mowing (rock garden, patio, more trees, fish pond, etc.)

If this was a bar, you'd be throwing punches at each other by now.

I cannot picture anything Farm Boy could say to me that would incline me to punch him. He has established an abundance of good will. Doesn't mean I'm not going to disagree with him regularly, of course.

Nah. Not in shape enough to think, even drunk, that this age is the right time to throw a punch for the first time in my adult life. I rely on the cops to do my violence for me after the fact. But only if it was justified and necessary, of course. Punches. Pah. If I was more afraid of violence I'd just do the American thing and buy a concealed carry permit. I'd only kill somebody if they had it coming, you see. Which Tim doesn't.

I try to be nicer to people I don't like. Those are worse disagreements to have.

Goats and sheep, as I understand it, graze the grass off so completely that they kill it. I've heard that a cow is better suited to the task. However, I would want an official ruling from Farm Boy before acting on this one either way.

One of my friends keeps goats purely for mowing purposes. He occasionally takes them over to the churchyard to keep the grass trim there too. A lot of work, but he enjoys it because his job is indoors.

Someone, in the distance is attempting to play a trumpet.

And fails very badly at it.

One of the neighbors where I live has a Scottish bagpipe. They use it rarely, though, thankfully.

Good news is that this will be temporary, as it's some relative of my neighbours displaying his musical "skills".

Which cannot be said for my brother, who constantly ruins my favourite songs. At least he doesn't attempt to sing Johnny Cash songs.

Was randomly reading about stomach illnesses and made a discovery that I always thought was IBS might actually be IBD / Crohns disease as I have all the symptoms of that other than the skin lesions ...

I NEED A DOCTOR!!!

And also because venlafaxine is also supposed to work for IBS, but its not giving me any relief for my belly problems.

IBS is notoriously tricky to treat, so I wouldn't read too much into not getting relief for that.

Crohn's? Well, that might make two of us. :(

Hopefully that's not the situation and if it is then hopefully it's just a mild case. With proper care most people with Crohn's can manage a relatively alright life.

The problem is that quite frankly we haven't done enough research into the problem when some of the potential causes have been known for a long time, but they were assumed to be harmless. It is only in the past decade or so that we have seriously put research into this area and we have barely touched the surface of the problem.

I've had so much stomach pains all throughout my 20s, I even went to A&E twice with them and pretty much just got laughed out of the place by the doctors.

WHY THEY NO UNDERSTAND MY PAIN???

True that. The recent research going into the impact our gut bacterial flora has on our health is pretty fascinating. Could prove a big part of the puzzle on various bowel illnesses. But like you say, as far as really understanding cause and effect, we're only scratching the surface of these things for now.

I've been plagued by stomach pains too. But at least I can say that all doctors I've encountered have taken the problem serious, if at a bit if a loss on effective treatment.
