Its not a joint account. She demanded I give her the bank card and pin. I changed the pin and she got mad and threatened me. If I closed the account and reopened it she would do the same thing.
Guys, whilst I appreciate your good intentions you are forgetting the rules when it comes to discussing other peoples mums. When faced with someone ranting about their own mum, it's ok to express sympathy, nod in agreement etc. But one can never take the reigns and start having a go at said mum as well. It generally goes down like a lead balloon.
Yes this is true, however I'm just saying that we don't actually get to suggest that others report their mums to the police or report them for harassment. We just get to nod and say "there there"
You just bundle it all up inside and preferably unleash your frustrations on James Blunt, for whom the exact opposite of the above rule applies. Open slather on Blunt says I.
With all due respect, I still don't agree. If someone is being openly threatened (and with no other information, one must suppose physically) the very thing one should recommend is reporting them to the police. Actually, given a competent adult, the first thing they should do is vacate the house. I've heard too much about domestic violence to feel comfortable with just a "there, there".
But apparently the threat was to sell a piece of equipment that the party of the second part had legal ownership to, anyway. So this is a substantial game changer.
Maybe you could pick a fake key, one that looks like the true one but is not, so if she tries to do it again she won't be able to open it and she may think she just couldn't do it.
