Random Rants XLIV: I Can't Find The Answer

The milk I'm drinking has seen better days.

Feel free to visit the 'Gross Medical Issues' thread when you go sour like that milk.

You should only drink it once you kinow.

Got another bluescreen, so it's not the RAM, and I know it's not the HD.
That means new Motherboard, new CPU, new RAM...

...or maybe just a new installation of Windows is necessary...
And hey, I have a blue screen nearly every day, and currently I just can't give an excrement to do anything about it :D.

Also rant: Wanted to bake a cake as introduction at my new work.
Turns out they are roughly 50 people.
The guy, who had birthday on Monday, brought 5 cakes.
And we don't have an oven here, just some microwave thingy with an oven function...I'll be baking the whole freakin' weekend .

Nah, I scribble down the error messages and google them. Most point to a hardware error regarding memory. I'm just not sure if it's RAM or CPU cache. I think I can rule out the HD.

I treat the expiration date on some foods like a challenge but milk most certainly isn't one of them. I'm not too big on the taste of rancid phlegm.

It wasn't rancid, just a bit past it's prime. In any case it's gone now.

Get something smaller, don't bake a cake. Can you ban them? Or do you mean this 'real life' work that you've mentioned before?

Yeah, that one. RL actually exists! Never really thought that .

Kindly explain that you don't have an oven, it's the thought that counts.

Don't think that will work. And I'm not keen of making barbecue for 50 people, so I'd rather bake.

Then make at least some tests with a RAM dimm less (and memtest), to exclude that.

It's a pity it's not feasible because I *could* arrange for a crapton of cakes or whatever other supplies you'd need if you were within range.

Or you could do muffin type thingies. Or them fairy cakes. They'd save you a bit of work. And time.

1 sponge cake takes 1/2 hour to bake. So 5 would take you...erm... 2hrs 30 min?

So you mix up the ingredients for one. Shove it in the oven. Mix for the second one while the first one is cooking. And so on.

Let them cool. Slice them in two, slap in your filling. Sprinkle over some icing sugar. Done.

I reckon you've got about 3 hours work there. Maybe spread over 4 hours?

Still, maybe you're some fancy master baker. Not someone like me who doesn't mind getting his thumb prints all over the cakes.

POLAND IS ON THE MOON!!!!

:p

I know for a fact that Europe is a protrusion of the African continent to the southeast.

Here is another boring Garry's Mod rant: It's really, really hard to find maps with stridernodes, and I'm getting a little tired of using gm_construct whenever I feel like messing around with the HL2 Striders. If it is not noded properly they will not walk around and chase you which makes it less fun.
