Random Rants XLIV: I Can't Find The Answer

It depends on the person really, but I'd rule out the fruit juice.

EDIT: I was once in a summer camp and lunch wasn't, let's say, "as good as it should be". That afternoon I couldn't make the programmed activities because stomachache, but nobody else started feeling bad until dinner time.

How long after something bad is ingested before you feel its effects? Because I'm trying to determine whether the iced coffee I had this afternoon, or the fruit juice I had last night, is the culprit behind my current stomach troubles.

Was the coffee caffeinated? I know a lot of caffeine can cause stomach troubles, its happened to me on more than one occasion.

Where did you get the ice?

Never trust the ice.

Could be a combination of both or it could be neither.

Place your bets, fruit juice or iced coffee? 1 USD minimum. :deal:

I bet it was the coffee.

$10 is on coffee.

What's that, exactly? I know what a prawn is, but what's this "stirfry" thing?

It's where you bung a load of ingredients in a wok and whoosh them all around whilst pretending to be an East Asian chef.

Sometimes, the resulting mess is not bad. :)

Aaah. Okay, I'm not familiar at all with Asian cuisine.

EDIT: Wow, look at that, this post has been made exactly an hour after my previous post, and the post addressed in it an hour after the post addressed by my previous post! COINCIDENCE? Perhaps...

Stirfry is a good and efficient means of cooking.

Just chop everything as small as you have the patience for. Shallow fry at a high temperature, for the minimum time.

That's probably pretty much it, in principle.

Got exiled to a different dimension in Tekkit Lite. Was doing good for myself, even better than in the overworld dimension, and then all my swords broke at the bottom of a long dark staircase.

I died and lost everything. The dimension in question is your typical penal colony interpretation. Desert, no food, no animals, no water... And I lost everything that could keep me alive or make the area habitable.

In other words, I'm screwed.

Woe is MinecraftSyn.

That's one of the perks of being British, I suppose. Whilst we were beating up languages in dark alleys and rifling through their pockets for loose words, they were spreading their culture by stealth to us!

You know, Australians constantly complaining about the ferocious heat in the dead of (northern) winter is not good for my morale!

Pip pip old bean.

Definitely hotter then the same time last year, I hope things don't get worse next year.

You're telling me. Minus weather has only been a recent attraction in Ontario. It is eerily warm here.

You're as bad as my sister, who lives in the Middle East and who texted me one Christmas to complain that it was 25 degrees outside and she was wearing a cardigan to convince herself it was winter!

It's hard for me to think that it's January. It feels like autumn.

No sound, Windows only boots from CD.
Formatted the HD and reinstalled Windows. Didn't fix anything yet. Maybe after an update marahton and clean, new drivers, but I doubt it.
And half the time nothing happens when I turn the PC on. I just hear a shrill continuous beep which seems to mean the CPU fan didn't start.
Still occasional bluescreens...

Absolutely sure now it's a hardware problem, probably more than just one.
I suspected that I need a new motherboard, now I know. The boot problems -which I tried to fix in several ways, none of which worked- indicate I'll need a new hard drive too. It seems like every day another piece of hardware fails and I can count myself lucky if my power supply doesn't spontaneously explode.
Even my phone has starting to act up.
What is happening ? Have I been cursed ? Am I developing some kind of tech destroying superpower ?
